Don't think there is one game that could make me get it.
Eventually I'm probably getting it anyway, but it will have to be at least 15-20+ really strong EXCLUSIVE games that make me want it, so far we're not even close to that.
However Pikmin 3, Xenoblade 2, Bayonetta 2, Wind Waker HD are all reasons. I just need MORE. I think after E3 I will probably have more reasons to actually want a Wii-U. But at this point, I think the system is sort of doomed in the wider market (none of the games i just listed will move systems) so I want a major price cut as well before I run out and buy one.
I'm thinking this holiday I will be getting PS4 if it's $399 or $499, so for me to bother with Wii-U it would have to be more like $199 - and probaly wait at least 6-12 months after getting PS4 to get a Wii-U at all. I bet there's alot of people thinking like me, so if Nintendo wants to save the Wii-U they better have a massive surprise price-cut at E3. Otherwise they might miss their best window to sell systems.KBFloYd
so you will buy a ps4 at launch no question...but wiiu needs to be marked down to 199 for you to buy it?
how much would you pay at launch for a ps4?Â
Â
PS4 will have all the multiplats. There is no question that PS4 will get all the multiplats, in addition to it's own exclusives. The PS4 is also a much more powerful system.
The Wii-U is totally useless for multiplats, and is a relatively weak system (more comparable to current gen technology).
I'm willing to pay $399 for a PS4 that has 250GB or 500GB and all the standard features. Might pay $499 if it has 1TB model, and if some of the launch games really wow me. Otherwise even on PS4, I can wait a bit for a good bundle to come out. I'm certaily not paying $299 or $349 for a Wii-U with no games. There has to be a much bigger price difference for me to consider getting a Wii-U before I get a PS4. If that dramatic 50% cut that happened in the UK were to occur in the US (making it $149 and $199 in U.S. dollars - won't happen I know) - then obviously I would be all over it. If they made a 64GB system for $249 I would give that a look as well. But as it stands, the current hardware is not even close to what I'm willing to pay for it. Especially with no games.
Fatal Frame HD Collectionlamprey263I hope they would release it in North America if they make it Fatal Frame II Wiimake was released in Europe but not in North America.
Edit* I already have a Wii U.
I'll definitely need more than one game to justify a purchase but the one I want the most is an F-Zero game similar to GX.
None really.
Maybe a new Metroid game. But even that's stretching too far since I gave up on the series after Metroid Prime 1.Â
A totally new Zelda? Without the idiotic motion controls? Probably.Â
I saw the zelda demo at the e3 and brought a wii u. If there is no zelda by the time the ps4/720 drops the wii u will be sold. I am pretty much done with Nintendo at this point. They got a head start and did nothing with it. They had all that time when the wii software was MIA to have a megaton. At least they should have had some milkage ready.

Not the same thing. WiiU is judged against Wii and Nintendo. PS4 is judged against PS3 and Sony. I have more faith in Sony, they seem like a solid investment, Nintendo does not.Nintendo does not have one game that is a system seller for me. Pikmin sucks. Son and Punishment sicks.Games like Punchout and 2D mario / Kirby should be Arcade Games. These are games Nintendo diehards have convinced themselves are great but I have a feeling deep down they know the games are shit.
For me, it would not be anything Mario or Zelda because those games are no brainers anyway. (However I love me some Mario Kart and Smash Brothers).
So they would have to bring out a Pilotwings 64 sequel (Not that 3DS crap they pulled but a real game with some depth), F-Zero and/or Waverace, and it would be nice to see a real Starfox, Not a remake or spin-off, Just traditional Starfox with a few dogfighting levels thrown in for good measure. It would be nice to see Donkey Kong and new IP as well.

They did. After SNES, Nintendo consoles get 10s rather then 100s of good games though,[QUOTE="KBFloYd"][QUOTE="locopatho"] Yeah PS4 is guaranteed to get 100s of good games, the same as PS1, PS2, and PS3.locopatho

Then you'll prob be happy with WiiU. If it lasts 6 years and gets 5 games a year you'll be happy. I'd go through that many in a year though. They did. After SNES, Nintendo consoles get 10s rather then 100s of good games though,[QUOTE="locopatho"][QUOTE="KBFloYd"]

For me the most games I ever had on one console is 26 games and that was the Wii.I usually average about 17 games per console per generation.
