Too many things to list at this point. I'll let the rest of SW's tell you.

Uh,no. The ds sales took off june 2006. I'll find the gaf graph comparing the two.[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]
[QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"]The DS didn't start selling well until Late 2006 when the DSLite came out and other titles. I remember being here on Gamespot in 2005 and the PSP was beating the DS at the start of its life until the DS got actual games that are interesting mainly Mario Kart DS.

Oh it was outselling DS before the 21st month. I still thought the 3DS was outselling the 3DS because I remember seeing that it was outselling before the 21st month.Nintendo was smart to release that press release about 3ds outpacing ds during the first week of June because I think they'll never be able to make that claim again. There's no braintraining phenom on 3ds to improve sales by that much. That crowd has moved one just like the wii crowd did.

[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]3DS is selling significantly less than ds did in the same time frame and ps vita is selling even worse than its precursor. The handheld market has shrunk, but there's still enough kids out there, who parents wont spend the $$$ on a tablet or smartphone. For them, 3ds is a cheaper baby sitting alternative.this "cheap babysitting alternative" currently has japan in a vice grip and it outselling every other console over here (and this is before pokemon mind you )Handheldville is gravitating to the only handheld getting support? You dont say...[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]Those smartphones and tablets aren't stopping the 3ds from selling like gangbustersShinobishyguy

[QUOTE="princeofshapeir"] Because the sixth gen wasn't nearly as long as seventh gen and the Wii was MUCH cheaper than the 360 and PS3, and motion controls were a big deal (or at least a bigger deal than the tablet controller gimmick). princeofshapeir
Which shows that the Wii U's problem has more to do with pricing or choice of controller than the Wii U's weaker hardware. The only real problem the weaker hardware could bring is weaker third party support, but even then Nintendo has always had bad luck with third parties, even when their consoles were graphically on par with its competition, or even when Nintendo had a successful console (the Wii), so I believe that Nintendo's third party problems are more of a result of Nintendo's history and the Wii U's terrible sales than weaker hardware.
If anything I'd sat its the fact that the Wii U's hardware is different that makes it difficult for companies to utilize it or want to work with it moreso than the fact that it is weaker. This could explain the Wii's weak third party support as well despite being successful.
The weaker hardware is a big factor because people are sick of current-gen and want next-gen. They don't want a console that offers the same technical capabilities that we've been experiencing for eight years.
I agree the pricing is the biggest detriment, as pitting a deluxe edition $350 console against a $399 Playstation 4 is going to be suicidal this holiday season.
To specify a bit more, I don't think the weaker hardware is a non-issue for the reason you mentioned, I just don't think it's as big as the Wii U's other problems.
And I do hope Nintendo does have a price drop ready sometime before the holidays if they want to compete at all and interest more people, because many people aren't going to want the Wii U in its curent state when the PS4 is only 50$ more expensive.

lol I like the GIF. That really needed to be asked to the Nintendo haters out there. Wii U is a cool system in my opinion. Good control options, good software, and a pretty good community.

For the most part nintendo's been focusing on core games and its proven to be more than sustainable even without the soccer moms
i have a wii-u, I found one in the dumpster.

how rude of someone to throw such trash into your home.
This is what's very wrong with the system and only fanboys of that same system could even possibly ignore.

Well played!
3rd Parties can't be bothered with it.
Gamers can't be bothered with it.
Casuals can't be bothered with it.
No one can bother it.
The system itself? It's fine, it's capable of playing games like Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City, and Assassin's Creed 3, heck it's getting Watchdogs.
But why are 3rd Parties not bothered with it? Maybe sales are just too low for them. Maybe they have extreme bias on Nintendo. Maybe they just want more power to please the Graphic loving crowd. Who knows, but they're right about WiiU not selling too well for their tastes, even Ubisoft who is giving WiiU more games isn't pleased.
WiiU is an ok System, it just doesn't have the appeal Nintendo wanted.
Yeah....yeah...WiiU it's capable of playing games like Mass Effect 3, Batman Arkham City, and Assassin's Creed 3 games that i already have play and i can play better on PS3/XBOX360.3rd Parties can't be bothered with it.

Wiiu is not even getting Fifa or Madden. That is the definition of a dead system.

So what about Watchdogs or Assassin's Creed IV? Those are going to be on the PS4 too, is the PS4 now crap because it's sharing games with Systems you already own?
WiiU didn't get Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite or Crisis 3 and I remember Some of you claiming ownage for that, so what is it? Is the system terrible because it doesn't get PS3 or Xbox 360 games or that it's Terrible because it's doesn't have exclusives?

I want "to" congratulate you.
I think you're smart, "too".
If you want "to" reply, you may want to include a clever gif "too". But don't feel like you have "to".
Any of this sinking in, smart guy?
Oh sorry, i do that from time to time and make grammar errors when I type super fast. :). Now what's your excuse for trying to be an a$$hole?Everyone has pet-peeves.
Mine is stupidity. Also, that was more than a typo. You used every to/too in the wrong way. I wouldn't have bothered otherwise.
I wonder if people will be asking what's wrong with PS4 and XBox One when they do mild sales and have a thin launch lineup.Avatar_Taxidous
I like my Wii U
But c'mon... we all know the PS4 & XB1 will have stronger sales than the Wii U has had thus far. They'll both struggle for a while to get a good library of games though, I'm sure.
