What is your favorite game of all time?

This wasn't a collectors edition...back when gaming mattered.

back when you got a big beefy manual, a disc inside the case, maps and unique boxes.

we didn't call it a collectors edition we called you get all your stuff for 60 bux and u walk out ur door and the games don't dissapear or something or go offline from liscencing the servers stay up forever and never go away.

this was gaming there was no paying for online nobody did that crap and if u pulled u were dead in the water pay to play online woulda been laughed at by every gamer ever made.

right now gaming is hurting i can save it i can save it. PC can save it.

It's Persona 4 Golden but at this rate, Civ 5 will overtake it.

Half Life 2, followed closely by Bioshock.

It's hard for me to say. If it's release, the honor may go to something like The Master Chief Collection.

Favorite game though? Before, I'd say Twilight Princess, but after replaying Twilight Princess HD that might change--the game is still in my top 10, and I honestly don't think any less of the game, I just think my tastes have changed over time a little bit.

The Last of Us Remastered, Halo 3, Pokemon HeartGold, Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX. There's plenty more, but it could probably shuffle up depending on the day.

Dont exaggerate. Find me a single collectors edition that only comes with the case and manual as the pictures starcraft here.

I dont see how PC can save it when PC is going full digital faster than anyone and your entire post is about how old PC games had big beautiful boxes and manuals.

I just finished Blood and Wine, and man, that was amazing. I might have to go with The Witcher 3 on this one...

I put a lot of time into Dark Souls and Demon's Souls, but man, they just don't stand up overall.

Hard to choose a favorite, though. There are so many fantastic games.

@bowserjr123: IX is my personal favorite, although all the DS games are really good in their own way. For the Zenithian trilogy (DS remakes) this is my order:

@turtlethetaffer: I loved IX too but I think that V is just slightly better. I'm really looking forward to seeing how X and XI turn out on the NX and PS4 when they come out in the states.

Everquest. The best online game ever made. Wow is basically Everquest For Kids. I was so completely wrapped up in that game I got to a point where I had to force myself to go out and 'interact' with my real actual friends lol. Such fond memories.

Single player it would be Midwinter, a game most people have probably never heard of.

I've been saying that for a long time. I hope something can eventually dethrone it.

NES days it was Paperboy loved playing it at my cousins.

World of Warcraft by far for me. I have never experienced such an urge to keep playing and lose myself in that world. Such a solid experience. So tempted to try legion. I just don't wanna relapse at this point in my life.

Super Mario World SNES. Spent so much time with that game and reading hours upon hours of Nintendo Power Magazines to get every secret.

Man, Everquest was awesome. I played that for 4 years.

Hard to say as it depends on the era but I will say this. As a kid, all I wanted was a game where you play as the man with no name in an open world. Rockstar made it.

It's up there with Shining Force 2, Baldur's Gate 2, Shenmue, etc etc. I would go as far as saying Read Dead Redemption is perhaps my favourite.
