I have to say.. mine has to be Okami on the Wii. The beginning got me really hyped for the game, but nearlly three hours in and it is a bore-fest. I was hoping for a Zelda-esque experience, but haven't seen it at all so far. And on a tangent, the IGN on the boxart is extremely obvious. I could barely see it in pictures, but wow is it obvious on the box!
What about you people?

You have to give Okami longer than three hours, trust me. Back when I started playing it I really didn't like it for like the first 6 or 8 hours, but once you really get into it it'll have you hooked. It's an amazing game, easily comparable to the Zelda titles IMO.
Anyway, back on topic, I'd have to say my most disappointing purchase of this generation would be... I don't know actually it's tough because I'vebeen more careful with my purchases this gen. My friend, on the other hand, made the grave mistake of buying My Sims on Wii.... silly fool! I sat there for all of 20 minutes watching it and I'd had enough.
The Wii, as a whole, was a disappointing game purchase. I wish i'd never bothered.
On the 360, i'm a huge perfect dark fan, so PDZ was like getting kicked in the crotch repeatedly from level to level.
On the PS3, Resistance. It seems to be heralded as an awesome game, yet i found it to be incredibly run of the mill.
On PC.... i dont think i've bought a disappointing game yet this year.
I agree with you. I couldn't get into Okami. Too much reading and slow gameplay. I was really hoping for something special.I have to say.. mine has to be Okami on the Wii. I can sniff something... oh a fanboy... and a bad one...Playstation 3 Computer Entertainment System.
The graphics are bad, the games are worse.

Oblivion was very disappointing after playing Morrowind (I played Oblivion then morrowind, and I though Oblivion was good, but not for long lol)
Forza 2. Even when you're in a supercar pushing 200mph, it still feels like you're going 10 miles per hour. Add onto that the fact that there are very few tracks and you get a really boring game.
Blue Dragon was also awful, but then we all know that.
The DS. It broke, i fixed it, it broke again, i fixed it again, it broke again.... And its got no good games.
Assasins Creed or blacksite, both where pretty much garbage imo (AC a 9??? and games like Lost Odyssey, Ratchet and Clank and Too Human get much lower?? gimme a break).
Only bad pc game ive bought in along time was Manhunt, which i never got to play much of.
