It is one of the worst ideas to happen for us gamers. It's is sad that many ppl support this, like DLC. The gaming industry each day disappoints me. Developers calling now used games is the same or worst than piracy.
[QUOTE="FrozenLiquid"]My brother bought a brand new copy of Uncharted 3. I cannot play the online multiplayer on my own account. You guys can figure out my opinion on the matter. I got Half Life 2 when it came out but didn't play it, so I lent it to my brother to play, little did I know it would stick to his account, I was so pissed off with valve and steam for so long. I felt like they had stolen from me in a way. I'm kind of okay with them now though. I find the whole account linking thing like punishing the customers for the developers/publishers problems.
Doesn't have any effect on me because I always buy new. I have no idea what certain individuals may get up to with their game disks or cases and I'm certainly not risking the serenity of the grand shrine that is my room by bringing in questionable objects that could pose a contamination threat of some sought. If it doesn't enter my room in plastic wrapping, it doesn't enter at all. Also, I hate scratched disks or marked cases. I literally paid $40 extra on my new copies of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker instead of opened copies in good condition.
*Ahem*, where was I? Oh yeah. I'm all for it because it means more money for the companies I buy games from. If I'm buying new because of my paranoia everyone else should as well. Mwuhaha!
It is a good thing, I think it should be expanded and have Passes for single player also, or better still bind games to PSN/Live accounts so that games cannot be traded.
