I just beat this game and almost everything about it was amazing. The reason I say almost is because it was rather short. (Took me 15 hours.) Can't wait for Darksiders 2.
Also...
This game has some of the best artistic design I've ever seen, the gameplay is truly unique (in the good way) and the story is easily in the top 5 of games stories. It's a shame it didn't get more success, because it truly is an amazing game.
And last but not least...
The gameplay has a very unique idea behind it (psych profile affects how the game unfolds. I'd love to see it in a future game, but more fleshed out) it has one of the most emotional and intense stories ever (everything makes sense at the end, if you think about it) and the game had this song in it.

Took me over 20 hours to beat Darksiders, but I explore (got pretty much, if not everything) and was playing on apocalyptic. Great game, just wish they would make it a bit more open (less linear) and a bit more unique in areas. Some truly awesome moments though, great design, and rather polished. I am going to check out Knights in NIghtmare, what kind of game is it?
1. I agree with what you said about Darksiders. Somewhat linear, but plenty of awesome moments. also, it had variety and the comb at just felt right.
2. Knights in the Nightmare is a mix between RTS and Bullet Hell. It's very, very complicated (the tutorial is over an hour long) and would take ALOT of text to explain. However, once you do get the hang of it, it is very rewarding and satisfying. Basically, (and this IS the bare minimum of what you do) you control a Wisp with the stylus (on DS I'm not sure how the PSP version plays), and you move it around a grid like battlefield. On the battlefeild are monsters, and you can also place Units on the feild (there are many differen kindss of knights) and in order to get them to attack, you must hold the wisp over them, when you select a weapon. Each unit has a different kinds of attack that affects a different type of area, and each unit can only use a certain weapon. (Warriors use Axes, Archers use Bows etc). When you charge up, you lose time, and you have 60 seconds per round. There are 26 rounds per battle and in that time you must defeat all the monsters of a certain type. Like I said, complicated, and there's even more to it, but, beleive me, it's very satisfying to plan out your moves and defeat enemies. And, the story alone is worth playing the game for.
