What makes Xbone worth $100 more?

Okay, don't really care about that. I'm just finding irony in calling people nerds on an internet forum when one is also participating in said forum.

Really? Another one of these posts? It's clear that in your opinion that the PS4 is better, why make a forum post to state your opinion and force people to argue with you? You aren't going to suddenly change your mind and be like "oh yeah, you're right its totally worth it!"

But here is my opinion, as an owner of both consoles:

PS4 has slightly superior multi-plats

Both platforms have great first party developers

Have you used the X1 controller or are you just assuming the DS4 is better? After using both for long periods of gaming, I can confidently say the X1 is better. Most of my friends who I've had over tend to agree with me after playing both.

Xbox/MS has better online, if you think something other than that you are fooling yourself. MS has thousands of dedicated servers supporting Xbox's online. Every game gets dedicated servers, meanwhile Sony's biggest first party multi-player game (Killzone) has us using peer to peer connections. How is that superior? Plus the difference in the quality of voice chat from X1 to PS4 is worth mentioning too.

Sony's camera doesn't have 1/4th of the tech in the Kinect 2.0, yet you pay 70% of the kinects price for it....

I'll also mention that the X1 has better and more fun exclusives out, as well as a killer list of games for 2014. Sony has very few good games out currently (been playing mostly AC4) and their 2014 currently only has a couple big releases (Infamous SS and The Order). Right now, I would tell someone it is worth 100$ more for the games alone, but again that's just my opinion. If you aren't into any of the big MS titles and don't want a Kinect then just don't get an X1.

The One is a technological beast. Look how bare the PS4 mobo is compared to it. There is a lot of tech that will be unlocked and improved as time goes by.

Some of the points Swag said are valid now but won't be for long.

There is growing pains right now and the sky is the limit.

You have to ask yourself, how much will the PS4 grow?

Right now the games are the strong point on The One and they will continue to dominate at a increasing rate.

Games. My PS4 sits under my tv collecting dust. My X1 is used alll the time right now. plus ps4 = kind of bland and boring.

Same reason I ever buy a console. To play games I want to play. Value is assessed by each individual on their own. I'll be buying a ps4 for the same reason, to play the games I want to play. Yes your precious console is the best, you guys. I hope that somehow makes playing games a little more fun for you. I'll play on both and continue loving it, as I have the previous two gens.

I think it's the TV functionality and kinect that makes it more expensive.

If Microsoft was to build an Xbox One basic model that only has the gaming components minus Kinect, you'd see a cheaper box.

Titanfall is for people who hate skill-based games. At least CoD measures some skill. Titanfall is just "spray and kill 50 bots", making the game worse than CoD.

Titanfall... if you want to play it at <1080p with no anti aliasing... pretty much the only reason to get an Xbox One in the near future. No reason to get one right now.

When PCs can play infamous you might have a point, but I'm not a big fan of RTS and I like Great games. You know the kind of games that get GOTY awards or at least are in the running and have a half decent chance.

Personal preference and perhaps the games.

Better controller? Not from where I'm sitting it isn't. It might be improved over PS3, but with how shit that was, anything would be an improvement. The Dual Shock 4 from what I've tried of it, is very comfortable. But the offset sticks on the Xbox controller has always been my favourite. Dual Shock is too light.

Better online? PSN is the worst piece of shit in terms of unreliability ever. Persistent game drop outs. Them still getting hacked like a bunch of amateurs. Which would be fine if it hadn't just happened again last month.

But the only reason Xbox One is more expensive is because of the Kinect. Without the Kinect the consoles WOULD be identically priced. The only thing you need to work out is if you want a Kinect that costs $100 or not. I know I don't personally. It is the only thing right now getting between me and an Xbox One. Most of the games that look even slightly decent to me at the moment are multi-platform, so the lower price is the only real factor right now.

But don't try to justify your not wanting to pay $100 more with bullshit like that because it is pathetic. Just admitting you want the cheaper console and the higher power is a load better than just making shit up.

Fun is the last word I'd use to describe Dead Rising. Dead Rising Off The Record was literally the most boring and repetitive game I've ever played. I bought it and was so bored with it on the first night that I took it back to the store and told them that I got it as a gift and that wouldn't install on my PS3 so they'd give me a refund. Crytek games may run on beautiful looking graphic engines but their gameplay is beyond terrible. Killer Instinct is a complete rip off content-wise compared to other fighting games. Forza is still a solid racer, but Forza 5 was a huge step backwards for the series.

None of these games are worth getting a Xbox One for, and either are Killzone and Knack. But at least the PS4 has way-superior versions multiplat games, a better online interface, better first party studios that will make a bigger variety of games, and a $100 cheaper price tag to fall back on right now unlike the Xbone.

The only thing the Xbone has going for it in the meantime is that Titanfall 1 isn't getting a PS4 release and the game has a pretty a lot of hype due to the high expectations of Respawn Entertainment. If the game flops, the Xbone will be devastated. If the game is good and sells decently, Titanfall 2 will be basically guaranteed to get a (superior) PS4 version anyways so it's not that really a big of a deal.

Xbone sales already seem to be slowing way down while PS4's continue to fly off the shelves, and the PS4 isn't even out in it's home country where the Playstaion brand has consistently embarrassed the hell out of the Xbox brand in sales every single gen. Microsoft really needs to do something quick if they want the Xbox to even remotely stand a chance against the PS4 in sales this gen because it looks like Sony is running away with the gen unchallenged.
