What should next gen consoles have under hood?

It doesnt really matter anymore. There isn't a single pc game that takes advantage of all those specs. For $350-$400 you get games that look just as good on xbox one as they do on pc. An extra blade of grass doesnt ale or break a game.

And PC doesnt get the awesome exclusives that consoles are known for.

How about some innovation and perspective. You know... fun. The thing they left out last gen, and this one so far.

I expect 13+ TF DX 13 equivalent GPU with Power Gating, 32 Gigs of HBM Stacked Unified RAM memory, 64 Core Jaguar or best low power to performance X86 CPU Core of the day, 2TB HD. All parts of the GPU and CPU can be gated away when the app doesn't need the extra performance saving energy and reducing heat. Backwards AND Forwards Compatibility on Day 1 allowing us to play this Gen games with Higher resolutions and FPS.

I don't see ANY reason this couldn't sell in 2019 for $500.

who knows. In 5 years technology will change a lot.

I hope it isn't true, but I can imagine Sony 100% having a stream service. People tend to forget that you can already stream PS3 games and as someone said above me, technology can change a lot in 5-6 years. I can't imagine another Xbox either. I'm willing to bet Sony will start hyping up their streaming service even more in the next couple of years to prepare you all.

We're already in the digital age.
