Metroid Prine 3 should not be on there. Sorry that you're a nintendo fanboy, but it doesn't need to be there.
Crysis, CoD 4, Halo 3 and STALKER should be the list.
I'd name a PS3 game, but we didn't get any great exclusive FPS's. Maybe if you had half a mind your Wii fanboyism would allow you to admit the same.

yea he is a nintendo...you know..but hes right metroid shouldnt be there. put halo 3 or orange box instead
[QUOTE="skrat_01"]What a terrible Poll.
Not even putting Crysis there? It got FPSGOTY

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption got its fair share of rewards, too.
It got a 9.5 on IGN, while CoD 4, Crysis, and some other game got a 9.4. BioShock was the only one to outscore Prime 3 on IGN. The whole of The Orange Box, Halo 3, and Prime 3 all got 9.5.
Also, it averaged a 90 percent on GameRankings if we round up. STALKER got an 81 or 82 percent, and Crysis only got a 91 percent.
On Game Trailers, there were five nominations for Game of the Year 2007. They were Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, BioShock, Mass Effect, and Halo 3.
Prime 3 has a higher user score than Crysis.
I know, this is GameSpot, right? It's not like it did bad here, but it didn't do as good as other FPSs in 2007, the high quality ones. It got an 8.5, but that's the same score STALKER got.
In the end, Prime 3 has gotten serious amounts of praise, and it's worthy of it all, and then some.
If you weren't referring to Prime 3, then what was it?
I thought we were going by gamespot here?

We do. I just used other sites to point out that Prime 3 is a highly praised game.
And we're mostly using our opinions on the matter. Our own opinions. ;)
Why does everyone always want to tear my polls to shreds? :(
The one and only!

How can Call of Duty 4 be "the one and only" when it's identical to Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 3 but with different skins?
The poll fails hard... Wheres Halo 3? BioShock? The Orange Box?bamafan1359
one of those should replace Metroid, no offense but it really isn't worthy of playing with the big boys anymore.
STALKER changed my gaming world and Oblivion lost keeps my playing it. someone really needs to come up with an onlne co-op mod now. 2 fo us in oblivion lost with the world as our play thing? hell yes!

And?Prime 3 isnt even considered a raw FPS - its considered an adventure game just as much as an action one.
Does Game Trailers matter? Im sure nearly everyone knows that they are a terrible source for anything PC related.
Why Stalker and not Crysis?
This list of 'favourite FPS' is NOT an indication of what are the best first person shooters of last year, otherwise you would have had the smarts to put Crysis there.
All this is, is a biased list purley skewed for your own personal tastes and attitude.
In short, its pathetic that you have pushed Crysis out of the list to suit your own tastes.
And I own all of 'the noteable fps games' except Metroid Prime 3, and I think Halo 3s gameplay is incredibly un-evolved, and has some of the messiest game design and average singleplayers in gaming history, for somthing with such a big budget.Halo 3. The fact that crysis won over it or cod4 is a crime against society. I just played through and yes it is PRETTY, but it's also pretty meh in gameplay.
Edit: You put metroid 3 on that list but not halo? What is wrong with you?

Go figure.

Haze is average. Halo 3 is exceptional. Evolution isn't required for fun, which is silly to say because compared to the last halo, it's a vast improvement, and it is arguably the best fps on consoles. But different strokes for different folks I guess, you can't possibly hope to please everyone.[QUOTE="skrat_01"][QUOTE="Vaasman"]And I own all of 'the noteable fps games' except Metroid Prime 3, and I think Halo 3s gameplay is incredibly un-evolved, and has some of the messiest game design and average singleplayers in gaming history, for somthing with such a big budget.Halo 3. Evolution ist required for fun, but if you want your game design to remain at the level of the competition six years later you would want some different design changes instead of being completely recessive in game design to the 2001 counterpart. As you said "different strokes for different folks"[QUOTE="loganh92"]Metroid Prine 3 should not be on there. Sorry that you're a nintendo fanboy, but it doesn't need to be there.
