WiiSports was my first "wow" this gen. Especially the bowling.
Then I popped in Metroid Prime 3 and got my second wow...

Man it must really suck to only know the wii. I know how it is though, When I was a kid my mon never bought me anything either. When I did get a game console I had to rent games or borrow them. I dont think any gamer with money, and a job like myself, would only buy a wii.

What the hell are you even talking about?
I'm probably older than you, and I got a "Wow" moment from Wii Sports and Metroid.
Wii games don't have "Wow" moments now?
Fanboys are ridiculous.

I will concur. My first moment wow moment this generation had nothing to do with graphics, but the way I played the game. Both Wii Sports and MP3 had moments where I got so incredibly caught up in how much fun I was having I forgot I was even playing a game. Though I did find lots of awesdome moments in games like MGS4, especially some of Raiden's scenes. That is not to say that I haven't enjoyed things (Lost Odyssey comes to mind) but those are the moments that really stand out
Well, I'd have to say coming out of the sewers in Oblivion. The view just blew me away.
The part in Ninety-Nine Nights when like 300 enemies come swarming down the hill at you was incredible also.
The part in the first GRAW when you're running towards the building with the ambassador in it that you're supposed to save, and it just blows up right in front of your eyes in real time. It was that combination of next-gen graphics with the impact of that moment which made it my first "oh snap" this gen.
And then, yeah, a few months later Gears would do it again.

Oh man, I'd almost forgotten about that... you're right - that was epic. And yeah, launching Gears for the first time elicited the same response...
Many:
Chainsawing someone in Gears
The greatness of the weapons in Resistance, especially the L209 LAARK Rocket Launcher
All of MGS4, especially hearing The Best is yet to come for the first time
Assassin's Creed: The leap of Faith, the counters and combo kills, especially kicking in a guys kneecap and then snapping his neck, and when the priest had that guy's legs broken (squirm)
mgs4
playing the ps3,wii, and 360
also I notice how gears make alot of people go ohh snap that is funny.
Getting my launch 360 home, setting it up, and having it freeze 30 seconds into any game. Man I was saying much more than Oh Snap.
In terms of gaming moments, storming the beach in Call of Duty 2 and just seeing so many NPCs and things happening. I still love that games single player. It is so dramatic. I love it.
Playing Thru GeoW on Hard the first day I got it, and beating it that same night. The Graphics were eth wow moment.
Seeing a Blu-Ray Movie in Action for the first time
Playing Bioshock for the first time, beating it that same night (It seems every game that uses that engine is pretty, but also extremely short) .
All of MGS4. Truly the most Next Generation Experience yet. Even the little things, like sending pictures to Friends, downloading the MGS4 Database, The Boss Battles, the Downloadable Camo, the Graphics, the Presentation, the storyline, it was a blast.
Playing CoD2 at my local WalMart before the 360 was releasedEvz0rz
I remember thinking "this is what the next gen of games are gonna look like? meh"...I guess I had super high expectations when this gen first started just because of how much these systems first cost.

Yeah, I felt the same way (I bought 2 X360's at launch with 2 copies of this), although it was a fun game. What was impressive was all the characters on screen, etc.
