@i_p_daily: LOL. PC isn't trying to be like consoles because it is already the ultimate gaming platform. Gaming is only one aspect of what a PC can do and it already does that better than consoles.

Your points are shit. Piracy, game prices for all digital, payed online? LOL

Seriously man, you struggle. At least put some effort and come up with some valid points.

So you have no counter argument other than and say my points are shit, the only thing that is shit is your deflection.

Piracy is a big problem on PC, adding 100 million console players would only increase that.

Again releasing 100 million console gamers on PC who pay for online MP would give incentive for someone to introduce a pay wall.

All digital is anti consumer, its as simple as that.

And you're one of a few hermits in here who say just hook your PC up to a tv and use a controller like what is already available on console since its inception and people doing it for PC are better off just buying a console.

@i_p_daily: Doing it for a console would mean having console limitations. That's the thing, PC gamers don't have that limitation. PC gamers can play a console port with a controller, except with better graphics and performance. Sure, console players can play with a controller, but they are stuck with just that.

You make it sound like playing with a controller is bad when its the best :)

That'd be ideal.

Consoles do almost nothing better than PC.

The console-only gamers coming to PC are used to buying games. So, they would continue to buy games on PC. If people were really into pirating, they would already be doing so on PC. Not that piracy is a big issue these days anyway. Just ask Ubisoft. They make more money on PC than any other platform.

Why would all the console players coming to PC introduce a paywall for multiplayer? There are already more PCs out there than consoles and there is no fee for online.

All digital is extremely convenient and not anti-consumer....

- You can quickly download games day or night without worrying about business hours.

- You can download a game and play it quicker than securing a physical copy and installing it.

- You can access games on any PC without having to worry about bringing a physical copy.

- You can share games with friends and family via Steam. Even if they are on the other side of the planet.

- They don't pollute the environment like physical copies.

- There are multiple storefronts where you can buy cheap keys.

PC versions of games are almost always superior. So, you are better off playing controller games on PC.

If there were no console companies, someone would create it because there's a demand.

It's like saying "What if you couldn't game on an Xbox360 controller anymore, would you use a mouse and keyboard."

And the answer is someone would create a controller and start selling it because there is a demand for the product.

"PC Gaming" is hardly a unified ecosystem, it's just different companies created bits and pieces that haphazardly work together, I wouldn't trust Nvidia to park my car, much less trust them to put gaming above their own profits, they've already tried to create "Nvidia exclusives" and shitty companies like EA and Ubisoft already create their own ecosystems to compete with Steam.

Worst for several genres. PC uses any control method so that't fine.

Gaming would collapse again due to poor quality control of PC software. Companies looking to separate themselves from the heaps of garbage will make consoles again...
