What you think is the most disapointing game endings?

Yeah, cliffhangers are always lame, but Crysis is far from the worst example of that. Halo 2 had a much worse ending.

Seriously, whether you liked the game or not, that ending sucked harder than, well...

I get they were trying to set up a new series of these games, but you should never make a players time spent on the game seem worthless :|

Alone in the Dark!! To me the whole game was building up to something epic, then the last scene before the end was awsome, but both endings sucked!!

Bubble Bobble on NES. You need to beat it with 2 players to get the good ending, if you beat it alone you get a bad ending.

KOTOR II. There were so many plot elements left unfinished that you could tell the game was half-baked. What was Revan's fate? Who/what was making the HK-50 assault droids? Nope, they don't answer any of that. From what I saw of the Light-side ending, you just took your ship and flew off to the unknown. Whoopee.

I wouldn't think Gears 2, Halo 2 or God Of War 2 endings to be bad...just setups for trilogy enders. Go in with a bang.

No way!:x Bioshock's ending is one of the most gratifying and it gives a sense of closure. Well, the helping all the little girls one that is.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

The game was so fantastic up until the main chunk of the "ending" that to witness that garbage at the "end" nearly made me vomit. Ever since then I have despised Lucasarts for pushing Obsidian for releasing the game early. There was so much potential for it to be so much better than BioWare's offering.

The way in which the moral choices were presented went completely against the black-and-white method that BioWare used in the first one. Instead of being the saint or devil, you were forced to ponder the more ultimate rammifications of your actions, and were chastized by Kreia for not making the most "grey" choice that had the least effect either way. For instance, giving a beggar some credits may seem nice and saintly, but could open the door for much violence and suffering against him from other beggars who want his money (my favourite example from Nar Shadaa), thus making the choice unwise.

FallOut 3 and I was very disappointed by the ending of Metal Gear Solid 4 I expected so much more.

Oh man where do I begin?

GTAIV- Horrible, short, abrupt ending that has you killing the guy that helped you out yet betrays you...just like in every other GTA.

Halo 3- Unsatisfying conclusion. Left me feeling empty about Halo. Plus we never got to battle Gravemind.

Fallout 3- All 3 different endings were the same. Abrupt, unsatisfying and short. You either

-Fix the water purifier yourself: Game tells you that you're a hero.

-Tell the soldier to fix the purifier: Game tells you that you're half a hero.

-Don't fix the purifier at all: Game tells you that you're not a Hero.

I thought they explained that he went to go fight the true sith and you also went to fight the true sith. I don't think it was a bad ending just needed a bit more explanation I guess.

But the worst ending I guess will have to be Fallout 3 without a doubt.

Alone in the Dark Wii ending.

[spoiler] All that happened was after you place the stone in this thing, Edward falls to the ground, probably dying, while you see Sarah body near you, and that it, which also left many plot holes [/spoiler]

Even worse, the PC/360/PS3 ending was much better.

I'll try and pick one no one has said yet and that is Star Fox: Adventures on GC. I just hate the ending, although at least the game was good but the ending kicked you in the balls.

I personally think fallout 3 is one the mission before the last mission could make a better ending.

Fallout3 had an extremely lame ending in terms of story, gameplay, and production values. The end battle felt easy as hell and the crappy narrator voiceover stills made me feel like I had wasted 40hrs especially after having finished KZ2 the day before which had an extremely challenging and thus satisfying ending with some interesting story developments

Fallout 3. Not just because the ending was terrible (and it was), but because part of the REASON it was so terrible was because Bethesda wants to force some DLC crap down your throat to let you play the rest of it a year after it came out and costing you 10 more dollars to get what should have been included in the game anyway.

Fallout 3- The whole story was terrible the endning was even worse. The side quests were amazing and made the game worth playing. I think on my straight run through the story I beat it in like 2 hours.

AC- Again a very poor story ended by the bigges WTF ever. At the end I just faceplamed and walked away
