What's better - a "PS3 & Wii" combo OR a "PS3 & Xbox 360&

I currently own a "PS3 & Wii" and I am thinking of trading the Wii for an Xbox 360 (so that I will have a "PS3 & Xbox 360").

So my question is: What's better - a "PS3 & Wii" combo OR a "PS3 & Xbox 360" combo?

The big issue for me is that a PS3 & Xbox 360 combo would be cool because you could get all the major hard-core games and not worry about exclusives (e.g. Uncharted, GoW, Splinter Cell) BUT there are a lot of overlapping games that are on both systems so it's kind of a waste to have both (when my other option is to have the PS3 and a Wii).

BTW, I don't want all 3 because that will just be too much (I don't have enough time for 3 systems) and I can't do an "Xbox 360 & Wii" combo becase I want the PS3's blu-ray player and SOCOM game.

i like my ps3wii combo but cant actually compare , but i think i prefer this because of some ps3 exclusives tho

Just keep your Wii and buy a 360, the more the merrier. But I you have to choose I'd go for PS3 + 360. By the way, this thread really needs a poll.

PS3/XBOX360 combo in my opinion. I can't even stand to play a Wii longer than a half of hour.

i had a PS3+Wii+360 this time last year. but i became very bored with my Wii so i sold it and got graphics card for my PC, So now i have PS3+360+PC.

PS3 & PC is the best combo for any core gamer.

You may have a diffrent prefrence, which is fine, but I can defeat any other combo argument logically with this set up...unless you just simply choose to have them all--which is also fine.

For the past three months PC\PS3 has been getting 95% of my gaming time.

pc/ps3 no contest.

If I had to choose, I'd take my awesome pc.

There is no right or wrong answer... it comes down to which exclusives are you more into

If you have a gaming PC & Halo in your opinion is just okay.... definately go PS3/Wii

If you don't have a gaming PC, my recommendation would be 360/Wii

If I had to choose betwenONLY PS3, 360 and wii..Id choose PS3/360 because fanky..360 has a better library of games that are NOT on the PS3than wii games that are not on either.

thankfully PC shares most of that better library of games that are NOT on PS3 that are on 360...and the PC versions of those games, that are also on 360, are better those on the 360,at least $10 dollars cheaper at retail, and don't require you to sign up for xboxlives $50 a year subscription membership in order to play games online.

Well I think it depends on how much you like and play your Wii. I have one and play it so little I can't remember when the last time I played it was. So if I could be bothered so sell it and all my games for it, i'd definitely consider picking up a PS3 with the money.

My nephew has a wii. He was excited to get one at first because everyone else was getting one and was playing with it for the first week or two, now all he dose is play the games on his PS2...go figure.

the iphone isn't one of the options he listed and is extremely limited in it's controls. all iphone games look like they can be done on a wiimote. I would say get a ds over an iphone if it's just for games.

Getting a PS3/360 Combo seems kind of pointless since the majority of the big games for either system are multi-plat (i.e. Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock 2, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, GTA IV, Resident Evil 5, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, etc.) and even the exclusives seem to replicate themselves somewhat (i.e. PS3 has Ratchet, 360 has Banjo; PS3 has Gran Turismo, 360 has Forza; PS3 has Killzone 2, 360 has Halo; PS3 has Uncharted, 360 has Gears).

If you already have a PS3 or 360 and you get the other system you're basically doing it for a handful of games. However if you get a Wii, you're expanding your choices a lot with all the Nintendo franchises (Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Punch-Out, Smash Brothers, Sin and Punishment 2, etc.) as well as it's unique 3rd party games (Muramasa: Demon Blade, Zack & Wiki, Mad World, House of the Dead Overkill, Dead Space Extraction, Boom Blox, Deadly Creatures, etc.)

I have a PS3 and a Wii and I am very happy, I wouldn't trade either system for a 360. However, I probably will get a 360 when this gen is almost over and I can get one very cheap just so I can pick up any exclusives that I missed out on.)

Did you miss this year's E3 or something? And by the way 2008 was even worse than this year for Nintendo. I mean I love some of the Nintendo IP's, I own a Wii (and 360 and PS3), but the game offering on the Wii is mediocre at best in terms of sheer quantity. Something that can't be said for both the other consoles.
