[QUOTE="gaboi09"]1. good thing i didn't mention PC huh? 2. you PS part would be wrong because there are many core games that are exclusives on the wii (metroid, zelda, mario etc). while on the iphone the games from popular core game franchises don't actually play like core games anymore. (Starwars become mostly drag and drop gameplay)1. "the iphone isn't one of the options he listed... "
*responce: Neither is the PC, so the PC isn't a viable gaming option for a combo because...he didn't list it as well?*
2. "...and is extremely limited in it's controls. all iphone games look like they can be done on a wiimote. I would say get a ds over an iphone if it's just for games."
*responce: look at the comment's I made after my -P.S-. Read it...comprehend it...now realize that your reply was already addressed before you posted this.*

Because you don't mention PC means that option dosen't exist anymore? lol, there's no point in continuing this conversation with you anymore ur taking non-sense.
Did you miss this year's E3 or something? NielsNL
did you?
the wii and psp had the best announcements at e3
And by the way 2008 was even worse than this year for Nintendo. I mean I love some of the Nintendo IP's, I own a Wii (and 360 and PS3), but the game offering on the Wii is mediocre at best in terms of sheer quantity. Something that can't be said for both the other consoles.NielsNL
2008 was terrible for the wii but it still got exclusives, and it's 2009. let me put it another way.
i own a PS3 and i buy a 360. so far this year 360 has gotten the following games that the ps3 hasnot. battlestations pacific, ninja blade, race pro, star ocean the last hope, race pro. all have a 7.0 score or above
i own a PS3 and i buy a wii. so far this year wii has gotten the following games that the ps3 has not. ea sports active, madworld, klonoa remake, broken sword directors cut, punchout, boom blox bash party, excitebots, hotd overkill. all have a 7.0 score or above
gamespot has yet to review anno create a new world, little kings story or the definitve version of pro evo 2009 on wii (with completely unique gameplay).
in the next few weeks wii is getting the definitve versions of tiger woods, ea sports tennis and a new indiana jones adventure game. most (if not all) of these games will get a 7.0 score or above
[QUOTE="OreoMilkshake"]WiiDS.BoloTheGreatYeah becuase good multiplat games are for losers :? I was never big on multiplats.
You are absolutely right about how a PS3/360 combo will have lots of overlap while a Wii will add a ton of exclusives, but I am just not that into too many of the Wii exclusives (primarily just the tennis and sports games), which has me leaning towards doing the PS3/360 combo.Getting a PS3/360 Combo seems kind of pointless since the majority of the big games for either system are multi-plat (i.e. Assassin's Creed 2, Modern Warfare 2, Bioshock 2, Dead Space, Mirror's Edge, Prince of Persia, GTA IV, Resident Evil 5, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, etc.) and even the exclusives seem to replicate themselves somewhat (i.e. PS3 has Ratchet, 360 has Banjo; PS3 has Gran Turismo, 360 has Forza; PS3 has Killzone 2, 360 has Halo; PS3 has Uncharted, 360 has Gears).
If you already have a PS3 or 360 and you get the other system you're basically doing it for a handful of games. However if you get a Wii, you're expanding your choices a lot with all the Nintendo franchises (Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Punch-Out, Smash Brothers, Sin and Punishment 2, etc.) as well as it's unique 3rd party games (Muramasa: Demon Blade, Zack & Wiki, Mad World, House of the Dead Overkill, Dead Space Extraction, Boom Blox, Deadly Creatures, etc.)
I have a PS3 and a Wii and I am very happy, I wouldn't trade either system for a 360. However, I probably will get a 360 when this gen is almost over and I can get one very cheap just so I can pick up any exclusives that I missed out on.)
AppleBlade
Umm isn't that a bit redundant? Imo: That has to be the worst 2 system combo this gen. For the OP, It depends how much you enjoy your Wii, and what games are coming out for both. Both the 360 and the Wii are great. I prefer the 360's games more, but thats just me.PC 360 has been doing well for me.
Wasdie
[QUOTE="Floppy_Jim"]360 > Wii, so PS360 > PSWii.Jason_AYeah - good equation. That's why I'm leaning towards the PS3/360 combo, but your equation doesn't factor in the overlap in PS3/360 games which is the big issue for me. that's the only issue ps3/360 have the same games. ps3/wii do not
I agree PS3/Wii Combo is great. So is Wii/360 because well PS3 and 360 share so many games but Wii has Exclusives you can't get on the other 2 consoles.PS3/Wii.
You got a combo tere tha lasts longer.
tonitorsi
But TC is you want to get a 360 keep all your consoles because then you can play the Multiplats and Exclusives from all 3 consoles.
PC, x360, PS3... Sorry I like real games and I go to the gym to work out. My Grandma owns a Wii tho she thinks it's cool.
  Wii has "real" games, how do you define a game as real?PC, x360, PS3... Sorry I like real games and I go to the gym to work out. My Grandma owns a Wii tho she thinks it's cool.
Antikyth3ra
Coming from a PSwii person, go with the 360. I haven't touched the wii for at least half a year, I even play my PS2 more than that thing, and my PS3 is backwards compatible. :P
PC/Wii Best combo imo
Wii/PS3 Good combo
Wii/xbox360 Ok combo
Ps3/xbox360 Meh combo
PC/xbox360 Ugh combo
PS3/pc good combo

  Wii has "real" games, how do you define a game as real? If I wanted to play the wii I mise well go get myself a Tamborine and turn on Saturday morning cartoons.I currently have a wii and a 360, but I don't use my wii much and would probably benefit more from a PS3 if I ever managed to use the controller comfortably.

yeah because games like Perfect Dark Zero is something you'd really not want to miss out on
PS3 & PC is the best combo for any core gamer.
You may have a diffrent prefrence, which is fine, but I can defeat any other combo argument logically with this set up...unless you just simply choose to have them all--which is also fine.
gaboi09
Gears of war 2, Halo 3, Fable 2, Forza 2, Pgr 4, Super mario Glaxy, Brawl, Wii sports etc I can challenge that combo but I due agree all 4 is the best
like he saidJust keep your Wii and buy a 360, the more the merrier. But I you have to choose I'd go for PS3 + 360. By the way, this thread really needs a poll.
NielsNL
Thanks - this is a useful list. You didn't include multi-plat but you may as well have included 360+PC multi-plat in the second list, in which case games like Left 4 Dead would be on the list. Splinter Cell: Conviction and GTA IV DLC also could go on the second list. These are the big games leaning me towards doing the PS3&360 thing and getting rid of my PS3&Wii thing.Games you'd missed out by PS360 combo (using GS scores):

your 360 games list must be very low then with almost every game on 360 is on pcPC 360 has been doing well for me.

A big Wii game for me (EA Grand Slam tennis) that comes out tomorrow is getting mixed reviews so far which is making me lean towards getting rid of my Wii and going for the PS3&360 combo.
Another issue for me is that the PS3&360 combo may result in too many intensive hard-core games for which I don't have enough time, whereas with a PS3&Wii combo, you have hard-core stuff on the PS3 and then casual just play a little here and there stuff on the Wii (at least for me since I play more sports and tennis type stuff on the Wii).
I used to have PS3/Wii but I gave the Wii to my little brother and got me a 360. PS3/360 combo > all
That doesn't include the tons of Wii exclusives that are coming out. There really are very few 360 exclusives coming out that are worth their salt.Games you'd missed out by PS360 combo (using GS scores):

OK - I've almost made a decision - I think I'm going to take my PS3/Wii combo and trade my Wii for a 360 so that I have a PS3/360 combo.
It really comes down to personal preference in terms of games.
There are only a couple Wii games that I care for (Grand Slam Tennis, New Super Mario Bros.) versus a lot more platform exclusive 360 games (i.e. game that are not available on my PS3) that I want (Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Crackdown 1 and 2, GTA IV DLC #1 and #2, Gears of War 1 and 2).
The big issue holding me back from the switch is actually that I may have TOO MANY games to play wit the PS3/360 combo, but I guess that is not a bad thing and I can just focus on the top games on both systems and knock off the secondary average games from my to buy list.
I'll post once I make a decision (probably Saturday or Sunday).
Thanks for the advice so far.
