whats so special about uncharted 2

- Very interesting storyline

-Interesting and charming protagonist/characters (something the PS3 has been lacking lately with Killzone 2 and Resistance)

- Arguably the best graphics seen on consoles

- New online with "many modes"

- It's a PS3 exclusive, so it just has to be hyped.

from what people have told me its a male tomb raider and i always hated that series. Also ps3 fans are making it sound like if they were to loose every ps3 game in a fire and only uncharcted survived it will be good enough to be the only game they will play. EmperorZeruel

i always hated tomb raider but since i LOVE uncharted i guess am a tomb raider fan

and now i must go pick up tomb raider for the xbox360 since they have superior mulitplats

Well LBP might be unique it sure lacks in platforming fun. SMG is a whole lot more interesting unless you just like creating levels. Great for half and hour here or there but normal gamer won't find it fun. Uncharted has one of the best stories on the PS3 with good gameplay as it just kept people playing to find out what would happen next. Uncharted 2 will improve on the gameplay and give it more replay value. So what is not too like about it.

UC1 was considered to be a game that was good with a lot of potential and UC2 seems to really to to that potential. Also people have said the beta was incredible and that helped raise the hype as well.

i think ppl over exagerate with uncharted, i finish the first one and it was ok, nothing to brag about, yet ppl feel like it was the best ps3 exclusive, yet a masterpiece like Infamous get pretty much ignore, i don't get it

I played the Beta also and I didn't find the controls to be any different than the first except maybe more accurate if that is what you mean. Though adding the muli-player(which I rarely play in games) is hella fun. That coupled with a great SPcampaign will make the game EPIC for the PS3.

For me at least, U2 is the most impressive thing ive seen all gen as a package, not just graphics wise.

Thegame is built around its story (like all games should be), and the story is in fact full of depth and very entertaining. The voice acting is by and large some of the best in the business, and so ive heard the graphics are top of the line. Plus U2 added astellar multiplayer aspect to the game to add on to its depth.

It's the sequel to one of this gen's most underrated games. It's finally getting the attention it deserved.

why do you assume i think halo is the greatest thing since sliced bread. yeah i like halo but it is not god. its fun to play with your friends and there is always someone online playing it and it makes a great addition for you 360 library but not god. mass effect was awsome now that something to talk about when you talk about the 360. Clearly you haven't played Uncharted. Uncharted was excellent and Uncharted 2 is better in every way. Why does something have to be "revolutionary" in order to be considered good or special? If that was the benchmark, then I would be able to count the number of "special" games over the past 15 years on one hand.

The first was amazing, its one of those games that gives you many memories, the graphics are the best on consols so far almost nothing can compare to it. it has really everything you'd expect to be in a AAAE or AAAAE game.

People are swayed by the production values and the visuals.

To me, Uncharted was a great action-adventure title and Uncharted 2 looks to be making the steps that Resistance 2 made from Resistance 1, which I love Resistance 2.

The thing I like about the games is the execution. It is like a summer blockbuster, but at times better. Anybody see Transformers 2? I honestly think the story and writing in this game will be better than Transformers 2. Now I know that isn't saying much, but for a video game to execute that level of storytelling is a pretty great step as many developers leave the story on the backburner.

The gameplay was solid and never letting you get too bored of platforming, shooting, or puzzle-solving, and voice-acting and overall sound is great. Pair that with terrific graphics and amazing presentation and I believe it is a great game.

And personally, I can not wait for the sequel. There are other games I'm anticipating more, but this one is definitely up there.

Personally, its a good action-adventure story that was executed very well. You could have some very cliched ideas and premises, yet if those are executed well the product stands out.

One of my favorite titles of this generation, Lost Odyssey, scored a 7.5. I don't see the point in using EA Sports Active, which scored an 8, as a bar for standards in game judgement.

Which games did you play? Because you might have not understood them.

Uncharted's story was fresh in the sea of gray shooters, but still freshness was the last thing in the back of my mind after those 24-like betrayals.

Uncharted 2 is the sequel to a very good Action Adventure game, that's enough right there to understand why someone may be excited for the game.

As for U2; the first game was impressive for it's character animations,it's character personlaties and it's story.The game was also fun and the sequel looks to be 10 times better.Asking what's so special about this game could go for any game that has ever been released.Last time I checked,people play what they like and this franchise has fans whether you like it or not and as a gamer I am excited to have another quality title to play this Fall.Why does it have to be special for people to enjoy it?
