Let me get this straight, ODST has a supposedly short campaign and a few new multiplayer maps and weapons so it's overpriced at $60. So I guess none of the people saying this about the game are going to buy COD:MW2 this fall either, right?
*Looks at Gran Turismo Avatar* um... ok :| GT isn't that bad.:P I enjoy the GT series however I do find it hypocritical to bash a product that's only had 4 installments to-date. And support a product that's had 4 installments (excluding the prologues).
Ever since Halo 2 people wanted to be able to play as the ODST and now we can. Not only that, its supposed to be more like Halo CE in the sense that you're not going to be running through waves of enemies without a sweat, you'll actually have to play smart. The story is carried out like a film noir movie and the updated weapons are slick. Then there's Firefight (which is Horde with vehicles and random debuffs) and co-op campaign. Then there's all the Halo 3 multiplayer map packs + new maps. Then there's a Reach beta later on as a bonus. But go on treating it like "DLC", I guess NGS2 is DLC too then right?
Firstly, i own all 3 consoles, so no fanboy here as my 360 probably gets the most play time. I just don't get why people are so excited about them being ripped off for what is, at its core a $60 DLC :?.

It actually looks more fun than Halo 3 did to me. I never finished Halo 3. Just lost interest.

ODST looks like a solid shooter in the Halo Universe with a very unique twist on the single player. I'm not thinking AAA but its going to be good.
True plus it gives you all the maps for Halo 3 including 3 new ones that people can play on. Also, people will finally be able to earn the fabled RECON ARMOUR :D

Aren't you hyping Ratchet & Clank #746? k enough said. Last time a halo game that wasn't made by Ensemble or an RTS was 2007. I guess that annual franchise missed out last year eh?
New story, new gameplay dynamics, new setting, new characters, new gameplay modes and the great gameplay style that Bungie is known for, how can any fps fan not be hyped for this game.

actually this is the first true spin off, the original halo was going to be be a strategy game and some how got turned into a fps, so i see halo wars as going back to the original design, i don't really see this as milkage since there's a fairly rich universe to make new stories and different games. ODST helps to fill in certain gaps, and changes the pace of halo, yes its set in the same universe, but its really a different game with a new story. This is why i'm hyped up about it, theres so much to the halo universe that they can do this and keep things interesting.
Except it's not. I have been waiting for a Firefight-like mode ever since combat evolved. Halo is an excellent shooter and taking the feel of the game in a new direction is really exciting.
But seriously, to not take advantage of the Firefly characters here would be a humongous failure of epic proportions, a tremendous disappointment and an unforgivable crime against all that is good and proper in this world.

Honestly, I can't think of a single reason they would hire those 3 and not have it at least include an homage of some sort. I think I have to buy this game now >_>
This is a great game, I think. If you don't want it, fine stick with halo 3. But, for all the xbox n00bs like me this is a great oppurtunity. We get halo 3, with all the map packs AND firefight, AND a new campaign for 60 dollars. That sounds like a good deal to me, based on people who bought halo at launch paid 100 dollars for the game and map packs if they bought all of them. :D

Yup, and they also have no problem buying GT5:p, a $40 beta/demo. But it is suddenly wrong when a new full campaign, new multiplayer co op mode, all the Halo 3 multiplayer maps, plus 3 new ones, and a beta is $60.
