What's the point in buying a xbox 360 when $350 can buy a much better PC??

The 360 is basically a watered down PC but fails hard at that.Whatever the 360 can do the PC can do better except a very few games.Most of it's AAA's are on the PC in much better form.Most PC games have support for the 360 gamepad.Besides you pay to play online on the 360 LMAO!

wow i must say...that really good for a pc that cheap..not that i would ever buy it, but for those who want to break into pc gaming its not to shabby, i would change that mobo though...looks like asus's shotty mobos

I have a PS3 for PS3 exclusives, I have a 360 for 360 exclusives and I have a PC for PC exclusives as well as FPS and RTSs.

It doesn't matter if one of those is better than the other. The fact is unless every game can be played on either a PS3, 360, or PC, then all of them are worth owning.

Who cares if you can build a $50 PC that is 10 times better than a PS3 if it doesn't have the games I want to play on it that are exclusive to the PS3

It is much more conventional to have a 360 hooked to a TV rather than a PC. The online is not better because games like Halo have a much better online following with the 360. Also, if all of your friends use xbox live, it makes no sense to buy a PC. Games are released sooner on the 360. Controllers are much more portable than bringing a whole computer with a keyboard and mouse. This makes local multiplayer harder. If you have any friends, Rock Band alone is enough reason to buy a 360. Not to mention GTA4. It's easier to use and more practical. There are many more reasons, but I have a dentist appointment I can't miss.

Look at my user name. I have built my own PC, yet I still recognize that consoles have quite a few advantages.

I bought a $350 PC about 7 months ago, and although I like it it doesn't hardly play games. For $350 you will usually get a dual core proc. 1GB of ram and integrated graphics (GeForce 6150 or Intel 3100). Neither of those cards can kick out the graphics needed for todays PC games. I think for $350 I would look at the 3 consoles, but if you are looking at $800-1000 then a PC might be the way to go for many gamers. mgools

The 8800gs with that processor overclocked would run crysis on medium easily.

ok first of all. the 360 is NOT Tri core..and that 2GHZ Duel core beats the 360 cpu. i remember reading an artical about how the 360 CPU dosent even rivel the AMD 2800 Processor from AMD

not only that but PS3 does use Open GL 1.0 , and 360 does use Direct X9 but an advanced version of it
