That's exactly it. It is all opinion and preference. It's not suddenly, it has always been that way for a long time for any system.

I like PC gaming the best. More freedom and such.

Hahahaha did I say consoles>PC once, or even hint at it? Nooope no i did not. I dont think either are better, they are different. Its fact that PC has better graphics, its fact they have a bigger library, it is fact that they have mods and consoles do not. But to say that PC gaming as a whole is better than consoles as a whole its purely opinion which is what Im saying here. They have different games, like if u just played on pc or just on consoles you would be missing out big time, because both have game series that are unmatched on the other system. I wasnt calling u a hermit just saying hermits in generally have really changed since the golden age of SW. Used to be the most interesting posters imo.

6. If you have a crappy graphics card and (core prossessors or whatever there called) you cannot run certain games wheras desingers design games in mind for a specific set of hardware

This site used to be primarily PC game news, but ever since PC Gaming stopped being profitable and consoles rose in the 90's, well you can figure out the rest.

Now lets point out some simple flaws.

1. Well PC gaming is much more expensive

Maybe in the mid 90s, but nowdays hardware is grossly overpowered per price. Even 'low' range gaming hardware (like mine) is highly capable, and runs the vast majority of games perfectly.

2. The console controllers are way easier to use IMO

You can plug a variety of controllers into your PC, more than any current console. I don't see an point here.

3. Consoles have way more higher rated games like MGS4, Halo 3, Super Mario Galaxy and Infamous and whatnot

You mean consoles combined have more 'high rated games'. That alone speaks volumes of the strength of the platform, let alone the entire PC gaming back catelouge of games.

4. Lots of Multiplats on PC are better on Consoles like GTAIV and Modern Warfare 2

No not really. Even MW2 and GTAIV are better on PC. GTA IV after patching, MW2 is generally better, just worse PC relevant features. Console ports that are truly horrible are harder to find. Saints Row 2 is possibly the best example, and sloppy ports like Double Agent are the worst the platform gets.

Keeping in mind consoles get their fair share of poor ports, even of recent (Dragon Age, Borderlands ect.)

They do? Dont you mean Blizzard games?Development cycles are relevant to the developer. Go on ask the Cows about GT5.

way I see it is games dont need to high the highest technically abilities (physics, graphics, ect) to be good and therefore console games could be better then pc games despite hardware diffs. But of course thats just another opinion :)

2. Windows Vista/7 natively supports Xbox 360 controllers.

4. Modern Warfare runs fine on Radeon HD 4850 1GB VRAM GDDR3 (1600x1050) and Mobility Radeon HD 4650 512MB VRAM GDDR3 (Sony Vaio FW45, 1280x720p). All UE3 based games runs fine and higher res than console's 720p.

You know why I don't play console games? You can't really lose. My favorite kinds of games are the type you can play for 15-20 hours before realising you've worked yourself into a

with no way out. Doesn't matter how skilled you are, you're not going to win. Skill in these games comes from not even working yourself into that position to begin with.

Console game seem to all be of the pick-up-and-play variety, and with the exception of old school fighters and some old KOEI games, don't require you to know what you're doing before you even start to play.

Suddenly? Its always been that way. As far as i am concerned the PC is only better for gaming in the technical aspects, I think the consoles have alot of great exclusives which i generally enjoy more then the PC ones.

PC is technically better because it gets more great games, but at the same time I find it to be a totally different arena than the consoles.

I really like consequences in games. Be it having to fly a crippled plane back 200km to base in IL2: Sturmovik or fending off every other nation in Civ4 (because I pissed them off), I like games that can bite back. Civilization IV on Diety difficulty is my ideal game...making notes and doing calculations and charts and such for every move. You have to play a PERFECT game to beat Diety level, and that's why I love it.

People can prefer what ever they want. But, it is a fact that PC > Consoles just like a ferrari > tricycle. Now a 3 year old little girl may prefer the tricycle but, the fact remains that the ferrari is better, faster, stronger, etc...

I enjoy both console gaming and pc gaming. What do I play more? PC slightly more, but I still love my console gaming aswell.

Consoles = Some great exclusives that you cant get on pc, able to play with more of my friends who dont have a gaming pc and easy to set up and play

PC = Mods which add so much to games, free online, the best selection of older games, great deals on games with services like steam and d2d, better graphics, better multiplats and the ability to play with ANY CONTOLLER YOU WANT or keyboard and mouse (feel like using 360 controller? thats ok, Feel like using ps1 or ps2 controller? fine to).

Im one of those gamers that enjoys both.
