it does by far...have you seen the spreadsheet? I saw that. Yes it does have the most exclusive. But in the case of the PC it's more about quantity than it is quality. huh? it has the most AAA exclusives of any system. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pc5oLqpenpT78W87pMfgvBA&gid=3There is no contest really. Check out the games as they come out this year with PC versions. Graphically the pc version will blow the other 2 out of the water, Dragon Age: Origins was the first of many to come. This is what happens when a console has been out for 4 years. (Sony fans don;t get excited, the PS3 is built on 4 years old tech too - it was bluray that delayed it, not the console spec). In my opinion it seems worse than the 360 vs PS3 argument
Megaman5364
The only thing which is holding the pc back is the support of the games developers. They know they can put the best titles out on pc right now but they won't. Firstly, piracy is killing the pc as a platform - games companies are getting robbed blind. Secondly, MS shot themselves in the foot making DX10 Vista exlcusive and with Vista in general. Thirdly, they need to design games that can be cheaply ported to these 4 year old machines. That means that currently the pc just gets slightly better textures and more people in multiplayer which is a shame as it's capable of so much more. But we'll still see the graphical difference grow over the next 12 to 18 months.

PC had "only" three AAA exclusives this year: Empire: Total War, The Sims 3 and Dragon Age: Origins (it's different enough from the console versions to be considered a PC exclusive). On the other hand, we got A LOT of AA exclusives, plus the best versions of every AAA and AA multiplatform game released in 2009.
PC is a great gaming platform, and it's the best if you like it's primary genres (FPS, RTS/TBS and RPG).

Killzone 2, MW2 aand Socom? Are you serious? You have to be a troll, nobody sane could call those games "realistic tactical shooters"
Bioware and FF(I assume that's final fantasy?)? FF is RPG series, Bioware also makes RPG games. And I was asking about adventure genre

I think he emant adventure games such as grim fandango. If you want a much more tactical and realistic experience try any Ghost Recon game before GRAW, any Rainbow Six game before Lockdown, Splinter Cell games, Those are much more difficult because you can't run and gun like in the ones you mentioned.

So 1 decent rts game with no depth on consoles can match games like sins of a solar empires, men of war, Company of heroes and DOW2 that are plentyfull every year on pc and satisfy your RTS needs?
Kz2, MW2 and Halo are not reallistic. Reallistic is ARMA2 and Americas Army (which is free btw
In the simulation genre what consoles have? is there a game like silent hunter or flight simulator on consoles?
Also are there any building or management games on consoles like Anno series, sid meiers railroads and other?
Are there games like Nikopol, machinarium and the longest journey on consoles ( true adventure games)?
Just like every gen this gen to Pc is far ahead in AE, AAE and AAAE from any console and it doesnt matter whether you like those games or not even for games that fall in your standards ( muist look pretty, have at least a 5milliion budget and been hyped to hell and back ) pc still has as many games as any single console

But the exploration pervades Action-Adventures as much as the action does. In Metroid you cannot proceed to the final battle Tourian without first finding and defeating all the sub-bosses, not to mention finding the necessary tools to survive the trip. Same for Zelda and most other Action Adventures. Halo may have driving segments, yes, but they're not crucial to the game (as in you don't have to win a race to proceed). But you can have arcadey racers like Burnout compared to sim racers like Forza. Then you have Western-type RPGs and Eastern-type RPGs; even action RPGs like ES4 and FO3 (indeed, these two blur the line a bit--these have significant adventure elements, too). Don't knock an action-adventure just because you don't like action. It is what it says it is--nearly equal elements of both.i owned a 360, what is it worth for? i sold it for my Q6600, that's how horrible it was. also @ your sig, look at my avatar, there's my chick to bang.GTR2addictYES! go Q6600! Exactly. I'm switching to my PC as my main console next generation, and probably getting the next Nintendo system too.
But the exploration pervades Action-Adventures as much as the action does. Don't knock an action-adventure just because you don't like action. It is what it says it is--nearly equal elements of both.HuusAskingI disagree. It's not even close to equal elements. Games liek Zelda or Metroid have very little adventure elements. Adventure genre is all about puzzles, lack of action and heavy focus on plot. Zelda and Metroid don't deliver in any of those areas when it comes to how much time of the game they occupy. Exploration might be cruicial element of action-adventure, but it's not a crucial element of adventure. Plenty of adventure games have been very linear, going from one room to another without any freedom. The exploration aspect of action-adventure is taken from roleplaying games.
Because that's what action-adventures truly are: roleplaying games with stats removed..ie RPGs where success or failure depends on your own skills instead of skills of your character. Action-adventures are simply action games with open world and tiny (really tiny) bit of adventure gaming thrown in
And it's not about comparing subgenres...adventure has plenty of it's own subgenres, action-adventure just isn't one of them. Zelda is as much of an adventure game as Halo is a racer.
