whats with the increased hate of the playstation and sony recently?

is it just me or is there topics being started none stop about how its failing and how its not providing a good gaming experience because a fwe games on cod are hacked and there exclusives ' suck' because they dont get 9s :S

Seems about like it's always been to me, unless it's just retaliation about it being the year of the PS3 or going on about how PS3 has so many exclusives this year. Just typical bashing; seems to be no more or less lately.

Seems like all the cliques in SW are in a sour mood except the Sheep.

-Lems are upset that Cows and Hermits are on their head about lack of core 360 exclusives

-Cows mad because they can't get their graphics king threads off w/o a Hermit reminding them that graphically PC and PS3 are still far apart

-Hermits mad that Cows steadily keep trying to put PS3 close to PC graphically and that consoles ruined their precious FPS genre.

When I see threads like this that is the image I get. I also only ever see these threads from PS3 fans.

Clearly we have different definitions of success.

To me the PS3 is a failed system that was repeatedly jolted back to life with billion dollar investments, buffing out its exclusive line-up were the 3rd party weren't willing to fill.

If it wasn't for Sony willing to put the Playstation division billions into the red, there wouldn't be any games on PS3 that do anything useful with its hardware, not one. No Killzone, no God of War, no Heavy Rain, No Uncharted... nothing.

The PS3 would have probably been discontinued by now; if Sony didn't start massivly spending from their own reserves to make the platform desirable. That to me looks like propping up a failed product.

1. Connected PS3s can be used as a supercomputer, in fact many used it that way look it up. The Cell was made with supercomputing applications in mind, look it up too. 2. A 2 million dollar supercomputer would probably be lousy playing games because games are not designed for their hardware and many don't even use graphic cards (unless maybe if they use Tesla cards but those are not made to play games). Desktop computers are still better for some things, mainly for the things a desktop computer is supposed to do, than supercomputers. In the computer world it matters a lot the purpose of the machine you are using or talking about.kuraimen
