I've heard Final Fantasy V is really bad. :S

It's not. It's better than IV imo.
Probably due to the absent story. As a game and levelling system its probably one of the best, though the story was its drawback.Final Fantasy X on PS2.Which is your favorite Final Fantasy game?
Personally, I like 4 and 7 the best. :3

Probably due to the absent story. As a game and levelling system its probably one of the best, though the story was its drawback. There's more story in V than in IV. They actually had to make changes to staff to work out all of the cutscenes in V, which were greater in number than IV.

That's true for me. My favorite Final Fantasy is FFX and it's the first I've played. No other FF has come close to it imo. There's something about the characters and the story that I've grown attached to. I can't seem to make that connection in any other FF like I did with X.
Wasn't the case for me. FF2 (FF4) was the first FF title I've played but FF Tactics and FFVI are my favorites. While I find FF4 to be a good game it isn't even in my top 5 FF titles...."The first Final Fantasy game you play is almost always your favorite Final Fantasy"

To this date I have never finished a Final Fantasy game. Up until 3 days ago the only Final Fantasy games I had played were 7 and 3 and I hardly scratched the surface. But now, 9 hours and a half into Final Fantasy 4 DS I can't believe how addicting and fun this game is.
So my opinion hardly counts but what the hell FFIV is incredible coming from somebody who rarely plays RPG's :)
Probably VIII for me, VI & VII deserve honorable mentions but VIII drew me in like no other game has (finished it in under a week some how).
IX and VII are kind of a tie for me. I prefer the flow of IX, but the characters and music from VII are just amazing.
Epic failure. Something is wrong with you :| (I kid mods, I kid)

Yes, I have good taste. =P
Dear mods: This is not me trolling ActicEdge. I would never want to make a post soley intending to annoy or offend another user at this most fabulous website. I am joking around.
Final Fantasy VIII bar none. I loved the Junction and Draw battle system, grinding out AP for my GFs was a blast as well. Triple Triad was a fantastic card game despite some of the ridiculous rule sets some of the regions had (I'm looking at you Fisherman's Horizon). The game also had the best developed love story, and the soundtrack is godly.
Yes some of the plot is ridiculous, but Squall's character development spurred by Rinoa was well done I thought.
V isn't bad. It has an incredible job system, but the story is a little weak. I found the characters humorous and the music pretty good.I've heard Final Fantasy V is really bad. :S

Okay, thanks for clearing that up!
(I kinda want to play FFV now... :P)
VI easily. Great story, great villian. The way every character brings something unique to the party is pretty impressive given the size of the game's cast. I'd be ecstatic if a JRPG were made today with the level of polish this game had.
Tactics is my runner up as the jobs system is simply awesome.
