Final Fantasy VI. The story and the setting are very interesting, the characters are memorable and each one has a unique ability, the soundtrack is amazing, there are a lot of funny and dramatic situations, lots of secrets and it even gave the player small choices during the course of the game. It's sad to think what happened to this amazing series, not only gameplay-wise, but to the art design as well.
nail right in the head... It is truly the closest FF to an RPG. You have to find many storybits for yourself then, which makes it rewarding like visiting Gau's father. Now they force the storyline through cutscenes.Final Fantasy VI. The one thing I'd like to note is that in his FF8 review, when regarding the Armored Spider, you only actually have to face it one time, you can avoid it the other times >_>Here goes an amazing and extensive video-review for Final Fantasy VIII: http://spoonyexperiment.com/category/final-fantasy-viii/page/2/
