When is the PS3 going to prove itself?

Seriously, that is getting old. My 360 rrod once in 2 years, and I think a update bricked the system. The rrod card is way over played. The 360 has way better games atm and 08 looks to be good as well. Mgs4 gets delayed so much I wouldnt be suprised if its a holiday title. By the gears 2 will be out which will cruse it.

Just like the PS3 proving itself is getting out. The PS3 is still selling, Blu-Ray player or not its still selling. Movies are selling, games are selling. What is there to prove?

RRoD is alot more definative than "proving" something.

I think PS3 will really start to pick up again once MGS4 ships. After that there is LBP and Home (sometime).

I have yet to get bored with my ps3, and haven't even got all the games i want yet.

Maybe id run out of games to play if i had no life and only stop playing to eat and sleep, but it's not the case like for the majority of the people.

There is plenty of good games now, and the futur seems even more promising.

I've played GEOW and there is nothing revolutionary about it and I've beat it twice the game is a solid 9 nothing more nothing less looking forward to the next one.

There wasn't any notible exclusive releases for the 360 between GEOW and Bioshock so sorry.

in response to your sig: I pretty much agree with the cartoony statement but even more with the fact that uncharted does not compare.

One game is limited to single player which is over in eight hours.

The other has awesome single-player, co-op and online play....and....ahem...better story, graphics, and character design....but uncharted has....uhm....yeah....

well i just read your other posts and can see you're an obvious fanboy. btw cartoons don't use bump or normal mapping textures. oh well couldn't care what you say, ive put over 50 hours into uncharted and still can't get enough.

uncharted is the only somewhat decent exclusive on the delaystation 3 right now

When MGS4 comes out I guess. So far the only thing they've really proven is that the can market a new media format on a game console. Yes, they do have a few nice titles to play on their system, but they still have a long ways to go. It's been over a year and still no AAAE. How many AAAE does the Wii have now?

Forza crackdown and R6V doesn't sound like tons to me:| Plus Forza is a racer it isn't in the same genre as GEOW, R6V is multiplat, plus when Forza was out so was Motorstorm I have both like Motorstorm better.

Actually there are threads Ive seen at the PS3 board where people were saying "why is resistance mp allready dead?"

Most people responded that Warhawk killed it but I think it's because that game was never really that good and people gave it up the momment something marginally better came along.

Since Gears had better graphics a year before that I was not really impressed. Ive seen Uncharted at great length and while it did look good, there was no part that was as technically impressive as the part in Gears where their vehicle breaks down in a forrest at night in the rain and the headlights iluminate water trickling off of every tree and running on the rocky ground. Nothing in Uncharted's cartoony world came even close.

Plus Uncharted becomes boring after you play through the first time and there is no incentive to play any longer.

Gears has co-op which means you and a bro sitting next to you can enjoy the story OR you have online multiplayer.

Uncharted tried to be Gears and failed. Nice AA game though ;)

Even then the ps3 will have MGS4, Resistance 2, Gran Turismo 5, Littlebigplanet, and the Final Fantasy games will be around next year so im not worried. I own all 3 systems and the 360 is a great system but I just hope mine doesn't get the RROD again so now I just buy multiplats on my ps3.
