When is the PS3 going to prove itself?

okay, 07 wasnt PS3's year.. however it wasnt a bad year either. Heavly Sword? Yeah that was amazingly short, but its easily one of the best hack and slash games out there. Amazing storyline and great graphics. Drakes Fortune was amazing too.

However, 08 will be an amazing year for PS3 as well as for all consoles

Sure PS3 wasnt pulling out an amazing 07 lineup but with Little Big Planet, Killzone 2, Socom, Tekken, GT5 Prologue, MGS:4 and MGS Online, and Resistance 2.. how can you deny that any of those wont be remotely interesting

Sure lemmings say "LOL!11!1!ONE!!!1! MGS is the only remotely game that is 'decent'" that can be implied both ways..but we all know that theyre just jealous. hell... Im stoked for Fables 2 and Gears of War to come out... even i can admit that, theres no shame in it lemmings

Too bad the game has three colors - Grey, Black, and blackish grey.

Too bad the everyone jumped ship in the mp online community for a game that is slightly less subpar - warhawk.

Too bad the only reason Resistance was not lost in the shuffle for console FPS for one reason only. It was the ONLY game worth renting for at least a year for a system that is STILL not worth buying.

You do know the gap between GEOW and Bioshock is 9months(GEOW released NOV06 and Bioshock Aug07). So saying that 360 owners were playing GEOW while waiting for Bioshock is like PS3 owner saying they were playing Uncharted, Ratchet, and UT3 before playing Haze due out in May or MGS4 due out in June?

Goty? whos talking about goty I named 2 AAA games Uncharted and Ratchet according to gamer rankings and gamespot user ratings and one AA game uT3 are you trying to tell me GEOW beats those three games alone? I have no interest in fanboy opinions I have a 360 and a PS3 and if you are just a 360 owner you don't even need to answer that question I pretty much know what your answer will be.

i brought up GOTY cause you were talking about games, so i pointed out that GeoW won GOTY, uncharted and R&C didnt win anything. im also pretty sure that there were some games released between GeoW and bioshock for the 360.

User ratings don't matter? Who else is playing those games? Not you I can tell so you have no place to speak about any PS3 game. I've played all the PS3 exclusives as well as 360 exclusives and can speak not you. What makes one persons review of a game more credible than an average rating of thousands of people like me who have played the game? Plus also gamer rankings has an average of AAA for both uncharted and ratchet, add UT3 with its AA rating gives PS3 gamers the edge in the waiting game than 360 users. I rather play Uncharted, Ratchet , and UT3 and wait for MGS4 than play GEOW alone and wait for Bioshock.

You say that GEOW won goty who cares what difference does that make, what point in bringing that up did you accomplish?. I was comparing 360 owners waiting game to PS3 owners waiting game after a year.

I've played GEOW and there is nothing revolutionary about it and I've beat it twice the game is a solid 9 nothing more nothing less looking forward to the next one.

There wasn't any notible exclusive releases for the 360 between GEOW and Bioshock so sorry.

Heavenly Sword, I'll admit, is lacking. But Resistance and Uncharted are excellent and their replay value is through the roof.

Heavenly Sword was short, but Uncharted was long enough, plus both were fun to play over again. Mass Effect was less than 10 hours I enjoyed playing it, but it didn't make it any less of a game. Not everyone plays games for the multiplayer aspect. GEOW was just as short as Heavenly Sword and most people I know only played it for the single player like myself didn't care too much about the muliplayer, but still a solid 9 to me.

Thats what I was originally talking about until all the 360 fanboys came out of the wood works. My post about what games 360 gamers were playing between GEOW and Bioshock was a defense to PS3 gamers not an attack on 360 gamers when I am one.
