Just so you know, this exact same thing was also true of Sony until last night. Calm down and don't get too ahead of yourself- Microsoft may just score a AAA new retail IP with Quantum Break or Scalebound this year.
Which games? Uncharted, Little Big Planet, The Last Of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War III, Journey, Ico, Shadow of the Colussus, Demon Souls, etc
Yeah pretty ignorant post by charizard - expect more from a mod
Let's see:
Uncharted: 2007
LittleBigPlanet: 2008
The Last of Us: AAE, doesn't count
Metal Gear Solid 4: Third party
God of War III: sequel
Journey: Not retail, doesn't count by this thread's definition and rules
Shadow of the Colossus and ICO: PS2 games, one of them dating back to 2001
Demon's Souls: 2009
So basically, the newest AAA retail IP for PS3 that you can name that came from Sony is 2009, six years ago.
Ignorant? It looks like everyone else is right, Sony fans seem to be getting too far ahead of themselves because they have one game.
