No more multiconsole gaming for me. I've had enough. Generation 7 has taught me that ONE console, with all its multimedia features, is more than enough to keep me busy in one generation.

Delta posted 12 for GOW and 8 for HALO. I simply wanted to understand how he came to such low numbers for one and not the other. There were other problems as well with his other lists, but I never got that far.
Also, counting the GOW SAGA on PS3 which is just the collections wrapped up in one is yet another problem.
He listed every GOW under the sun, so did the same for Halo. If EVERY SINGLE GOW counts, then every Halo counts. If every single Uncharted counts, then every GeoW counts, etc.
I agree with your COD analogy, but again, these Delta's lists were set up to determine how many total games released in the series (allegedly) to show which company milks their franchises more. If we are talking about milkage, then maybe it's best to count everything ever? If one wants to tally every single playable/ purchasable product of each franchise that bring in revenue. In that case, we should count everything as they all generate revenue.
I didn't agree with how GOW or HALO was listed, but under his rules I just counted HALO in the same fashion.
Ultimately, the question posited by Delta and maintained by Snugz seemed to be:

If I were in charge, I would just count the retail new entries and omit duplicates like God of War Collection, Halo Collection, GOW Saga, Halo HD Anniversary, Halo Spartan on multiple machines, etc. Hell, maybe I'd even omit the mobile entries, I dunno...but again, I was operating under Delta's counted games standard (everything).
I think a more interesting question is:
How many unique HALOS were released on 360? How many unique God of Wars were released on PS3? How many unique Mario titles were released on Wii? Do the same for Uncharted, GeoW, Fable, etc. That's just me. Unfortunately, I was operating under someone else's standards, and he opted to count everything under the sun.

Wow I won't bother quoting your entire response. I did read it though. Like most of your responses you said the same thing a half dozen times, sometimes in bigger fonts, sometimes underlined, but ultimately the same thing.
So a poster made a list saying there were more God of War games than Halo games. They listed the Collection for PS3 and Vita. We both agree that's stupid. Correct? Then you responded using a multiplat Halo game and listed every platform it's on. That's like saying there have been 5 Call of Duty games in the past 5 months because it appeared on multiple platforms.
If you want to count an HD remake and Master Chief Collection as completely independent Halo entries then fine. I can get behind that. But listing Halo Spartan Assault on each platform is asinine the same way it is listing the God of War Collection that way.

Delta posted 12 for GOW and 8 for HALO. I simply wanted to understand how he came to such low numbers for one and not the other. There were other problems as well with his other lists, but I never got that far.
Also, counting the GOW SAGA on PS3 which is just the collections wrapped up in one is yet another problem.
He listed every GOW under the sun, so did the same for Halo. If EVERY SINGLE GOW counts, then every Halo counts. If every single Uncharted counts, then every GeoW counts, etc.
I agree with your COD analogy, but again, these Delta's lists were set up to determine how many total games released in the series (allegedly) to show which company milks their franchises more. If we are talking about milkage, then maybe it's best to count everything ever? If one wants to tally every single playable/ purchasable product of each franchise that bring in revenue. In that case, we should count everything as they all generate revenue.
I didn't agree with how GOW or HALO was listed, but under his rules I just counted HALO in the same fashion.

One other thing, i'm a big Halo fan, i've never tried to hide that fact on these forums, i've owned every game in that list (not Halo 5). Also i've never been a fan of GoW even though i have owned GoW since launch and GoW 2 and 3 and i have one of the collections on PS3. My point is, yes i have a bias, but it's to the games not the platform, unlike some people.

GOW Saga is just the Origins and Collection in one package and they threw in GOW3. What Sony did with GOW SAGA is they discontinued the Collections (http://store.sony.com/god-of-war-collection-zid27-PS398229/cat-27-catid-EOL-Video-Games You can see it's discontinued in lieu of SAGA) and then created SAGA to replace the collections. They removed the 2 Collection skus from production and offered a better deal to consumers but it's the same deal in one package instead of two. Essentially, Sony replaced the two Collections with a combined collection and threw in GOW3 on top. Sony upgraded the consumer offering, but yeah, it's technically a release of the same two collections again but on the same PS3 platform.

I understand the Saga point, but it did exist, I just wanted to paint the picture of what that product was. Without context and looking at the title, one could assume it's a whole new game. I also have to admit, I'm a sucker for Halo with regards to all the Halo merch I have. I tried to get 1000/1000 in every Halo just to gloat I'm the big Halo fan over my RL Halo buddies save for the buggy Halo MCC which slowed us all down.
I wasn't trying to be underhanded, I had hoped if you didn't like part of my in-progress list, you would opt to veto it or challenge it. It was a work in progress trying to firmly establish what Delta was doing.
Either way, with these new lists, we can actually see the answer with ease. In Halos defense, it did release earlier in the gen. I didn't even bring up the Halo Triple Pack that was sold for original Xbox 1 back in the day. I know about that because I bought it for a friend. In fact, the Halo Triple Pack is much like God of War Saga. A re-release on the same platform with some goodies. Maybe it should count if Saga were to count. It's probably worth a mention like Saga at least. I'll post a pic:

That i agree with with Lately , you used to see gears and Halo piggyback each other, Gears one year then Halo the next but they have fallen into the COD route of yearly iterations .
Thing is the Xbone doesn't really have exclusives, i can think of maybe 2 games tops that are not shared with other systems, the one thing the PS4 has got going for it is exclusive games that can only be payed on that platform, Driveclub, Bloodborne, the order, LBP 3,Killzone and infamous off the top of my head but they tend to get ignored because they 'flopped'
I am a bigger fan of the Ps4 than the Xbone but i m not a big enough fan to buy one, neither library seems mind blowing at the moment, i hope this is another 10 year generation because if it's only a 5 year one it's going to be rubbish unless both company pull there finger out.
I bought a PSP gonna get a Vita next the a Wii-U, hopefully by then the PS4 will have a library worth dropping 400+ quid for.

Xbox One has more games then halo gears fable forza now ... that all everyone ever asked for ... they got way more games coming Quantum Break Scalebound to name a few ... lets be honest it looks better on xbox one's side right now with interesting games ... yeah pc gets a lot of games and that is good MS is windows and xbox
