Poll When will lemmings have their first AAA exclusive? (72 votes)
So, considering Forza 4 is multiplat, I got it for my PC. When was the last time the Xbone got an exclusive AAA that scored above 9/10? Three years ago?

Even if you want to play online on pc you need to have xbox live gold lol, cows are pathetic for this.... Forza always does well, its the most respected racing series in gaming right now, get over it and quit with the damage control.
is Xbox Live gold the one you have to pay for? if so, pretty sure this is false
Its a microsoft exclusive.
Same reason donkey Kong is still a switch exclusive even though its on 3ds
Or how toad treasure hunter is a Nintendo exclusive on switch and Wii u.
If you buy it on PC you are still paying microsoft, its not an xbox exclusive, it is a microsoft exclusive.
I can agree with this, however the fact that you can own the game outright on PC kind of makes it all the same anyway since most have upgraded to win 10 by default.
I hope MS ends pay anywhere next gen, it really reduces and detracts from the appeal of their console.
Stop making cheap games MS, and make games that command respect and demand that people go out and buy your system and drop that play anywhere garbage.
There are too many good quality multiplats sitting in my backlog for such trivial things to matter. I agree that Playstation Exclusives are an amazing addition to an otherwise already huge library of quality multiplats. I also do think that only Playstation has the buffer to pull of high budget exclusives; they got a huge amount of console sales so in return their exclusives sell like hot cakes. And this is why later in PS4's lifespan we began to see higher quality exclusives. In contrast if a Play Anywhere title flops on Xbox One it can always make up for that loss on PC. It's a smart way to get more good quality Play Anywhere "exclusive" titles without the studio shutting down due to lack of sales.
I do get the point also that Exclusive games can be much much more efficiently coded. Look at what they have done with Horizon Zero Dawn. That is some coding magic and the results show. Also exclusives do add some personality to a console. I'd say a few AAA exclusives to be representable as the console's mascot can't hurt. But again, it's more a welcome addition than an absolute necessity. Are third party exclusives really that much better than multiplat games of the same genre? Not as far as I can see. Only the big budget Sony Entertainment ones are.
Forza Horizon 4 gets great reviews and cows need to lash out with sad and pathetic reactionary threads. You clowns are so bitter. ?
Lol yep. Never seen a sadder bunch of fanboys in my life.
Passt.....the best selling games are not exclusives.
I couldn't care less if a MS game is released on every format out there....I'd still get it for X1X because it's the best console.

Another exclusive title they can claim; being the most pathetic group of fanboys I've ever seen.
I count Forza Horizon 4 as an Xbox platform exclusive
I'd be careful if I was you.
You already lost bloodborne.
Uncharted 4 and God of War... your only other AAAE's on metacritic are likely to follow.
720p, input lag and streaming required?
lol lost exclusive?
Sony thanks you desperate PC peasants for their money. They know you'll take whatever you can get especially when it's a butthurt lemming hiding behind PC.
Does anyone need a PS4 for the GAME though? nah.
I'd be careful if I was you.

Just Bloodborne? They have lost way more than Bloodborne. Yakuza series, KZ series, Until Dawn, Gravity Rush etc etc. I mean I can literally count the games currently not on PS Now on my fingers.
Streaming games shouldn't count as losing an exclusive. Streaming is the equivalent of renting a console to play a game, it's just that you do it through a computer screen. If streaming games means exclusivity loss then renting games already made the term exclusive obsolete decades ago.
Except renting a game required you to have the base system.
I'd be careful if I was you.

Don't need a PS4 to play all the games listed above and not just me, Sony also says the same. Keep doing the mental gymnastics. I can subscribe for a month and be done with all the above games with the exception of Yakuza and Bloodnorne and unsubscribe.

So no PS4 is needed by the player, they can just use thier PC. got it.
The cow DC just because Microsoft finally got a good score on something. ROFL! Microsoft started Play Anywhere so all Microsoft developed games now come on both platforms. They stated no more exclusives for now until this program dies. WTF is wrong with you people!

You still need a PS4 on the backend so yeah, you need it, remotely, but you need it. Again, if you make this argument then there isn't such a thing as exclusives on any system because you basically can stream any game or use emulators.
So basically just answer this question: Is there such a thing as exclusive games? If your answer is positive then you're s hypocrite.
shame Microsoft didn't take SW into account when they implemented their incredibly consumer friendly Play Anywhere policy.
PlayAnywhere except it's only on Xbox and the crappy W10 store.
It would be nice if they'd at least release their big games on Steam after some time.
lmao but some of these people are bitching about games NOT being tethered to one platform. this whole thing is hilarious

I will happily go down the "there is barely anything truly exclusive left" route, because its the flatline truth, and including emulation.
Ultimately though, there is only one platform able to combine all of that and still wins out with the best versions of everything (except those limited to streaming obviously) ;-)
Hell mobile phone emulation isn't illegal ... oh look, the PC library just grew massivly.
The cow DC just because Microsoft finally got a good score on something. ROFL! Microsoft started Play Anywhere so all Microsoft developed games now come on both platforms. They stated no more exclusives for now until this program dies. WTF is wrong with you people!
Some cows may be trying to same some stupid stuff but it's not all, it's just a fact that the game can be owned on PC and played at best quality without owning an Xbox console.
I don't know why any would DC FH4 since most expected it to get AAA months ago, I know I did and have said in multiple threads Playground Games is MS's only AAA studio and are on par with Sony's top devs.
I STILL say play anywhere is shit and decreases the value of owning an xbox and I want them to get rid of it and get back to making quality games.
Just because MS does something doesn't mean you have to blindly cheerlead for it. That's the bigget problems with you lems, you guys don't know when or how to say, "No, MS, you're wrong about this and I don't support it!"

No, Sony has decided to do that.
nothing that happens on Sonys end matters to the end user. That is pure fanboy, I cant handle it bitch shit. He doesn't need to have a PS4 in his home to play those games. What Sony decides to do on their end isn't any of our business. All we need is a WINDOWS (LOL) PC, isp, electricity and a CC
You aint playing every PC game with Linux lmao
The cow DC just because Microsoft finally got a good score on something. ROFL! Microsoft started Play Anywhere so all Microsoft developed games now come on both platforms. They stated no more exclusives for now until this program dies. WTF is wrong with you people!
And Sony will only have Timed Exclusives until the PSNOW service is gone too.
Welcome to 2018?

That would be great if emul was perfect, fact is it isn't not even old shit doesn't run perfectly. Hermits claimed Demon's Souls ran prefectly...LMFAO, FALSE!
I am exposed to all the lies and half truths that hermits told now that I am exposed to a recently updated gaming PC.
Just no, elum in most games isn't going to be as good or solid at their console counterparts. Stop trying to push the lie the PC emul solves to problem of console exclusivity, it doesn't even for most old PS2 games.

Curious, what lies exactly?
Ofcourse, emulation is limited by the effort put into it (including each game) ... early emulation is excellent, Gamecube is really good, as is Wii. Wii U is getting there.
PS2 was decent... the "big" games got the proper love, but quite alot didn't.
Now it's just very difficult.... 3DS emulation is slowly getting there too.
Either way, even if it isn't perfect.... its better than the alternatives... wait for a remaster or go to a flea market.

You forgot one, owning the actual console where everything will play perfectly.
as for the lies, acting like emul gave PC the ability to play all console games and in better quality. Making even slight changes to to most games would have game breaking effects in either performance or graphics.
Now, some games do perform really well, luckily Digital Devil Saga is one of those, but many don't. Even a lot of 2D games I've tried run at shit frames in slow motion, I'm talking PS1 gen games and I have an 8gb RX 580 and I7-7700...getting less than 40frames when a Sega Saturn runs (Street Fighter Alpha 2) at 60fps locked.
PC emul is far over exaggerated for it's ability recreate console games, it's no wonder PC heads would subject themselves to playing PS4 games in 720p though streaming.

PC emul is far over exaggerated for it's ability recreate console games, it's no wonder PC heads would subject themselves to playing PS4 games in 720p though streaming. Nintendo Emulation is a focus, and the big Playstation games work fine. modern gaming there are barely any exclusives so its getting less required.
I mean for every obscure example and opposite example can be given.... inconsistancy will be a thing with open source material only done out of love for most big games.
Either way, this is still vastly more than what a PS4 or an Xbox One X can put out.... its bad enough in system wars that peasants have to lump 3 devices together, let alone every generation.

How the **** am I cheerleading for it. I am proving a point by saying this thread is fucking stupid because Microsoft has stated all Microsoft developed games are going to be on Xbox and computer. So the next Xbox exclusive to come out is never until the program dies. Again you fanboys create false narratives and you suck at even do that. Such as me being a lemming, get a damn life.
hahahah more damage control threads.
arent you guys riding spiderman anymore? or is that game now last weeks news.....
I think spiderman will outsell easy FH4,even that it is on PC and xbox, you people should stop acting as the xbox got some killer exclusive,it is a multiplatform game that score great but that you don't even need an xbox one unlike Spiderman.
Doesnt matter if you get it on pc or xbox , you pay Microsoft.
That damn microsoft releasing thier exclusives on both platforms they make games for. What a bunch of idiots, they could apply anti consumer policies and force people to buy thier console if they want to play the game, but they release it on PC too!! Because microsoft has been making games for PC???? What a bunch of dumb bastards. They should have seperate lines of games that you can only get on pc and some you can only get on Xbox.
Cant do both lol

Its the cows who are over-reacting, hence all the damage control threads and butthurt "I'll play it on my PC / Its not exclusive posts". Why cant they just move on? If spiderman PS4 is so good, why get so upset about Forza ? oh wait, its because they are fanboys!
Its going to be a great game with a lot of longevity for many people.
Personally, i am not a huge fan of racing games but i do enjoy Forza Horizon. I normally get a couple of weeks enjoyment out of it. Thanks to gamepass, i can play it as much as i like without paying full price.
Is not damage control and butthurt, it's trolling. You have to be an idiot to not see it and fall for it but unsurprisingly lemmings are falling for it...

Don't need a PS4 and hence saving $200-300 on top of $60 for the one and done games. Also technically, yes to your emulator answer.
Go ahead and take PS3 and install Linux on it, oh wait you can't, Sony patched it in an update and also lost a lawsuit over it. But for the sake of argument you do install Linux on it, how many PC games run on Linux again? And those that do still require PC architecture with traditional CPU's and GPU's. Lastly if by some desperate attempt you did get 'PC games' to run on PS3, happily exclude it from PC exclusives list. :D
As for renting, I asked the same question to your fellow cow, do tell how's MLB, GT5, Tomorrow Children on PS4 working after Sony shut down their servers for less than a year? You also paid $60 for the game license, $60 for the PS+ and $400 for the PS4? Go ahead and show me how you play in online anymore, add GT Sports to the list which will have the same fate.
In the end, you can huff, you can puff, you can cry but that won't change the fact that above mentioned games are no longer exclusives. :D

I don't really care if people call them exclusives or not, I just care about consistency. So if you accept the emulator thing then I have no problem with you thinking the PS4 has no exclusives. Actually technically it has none then because you can always stream a game from PS4 through a PC remotely and done even without PS Now: https://www.digitaltrends.com/gaming/how-to-use-playstation-4-remote-play/. You also don't need to pay for the PS4, you can borrow it from a friend or even rent one.
The same with Linux on PS3, you don't even need to play the games on the PS3 you can just stream them through Linux using a variety of programs and stuff available everywhere so you avoid using the PS3 hardware. Also you can always install and old firmware on a PS3 and install Linux on it.
For me that is a too wide and useless definition for exclusivity because it basically renders the concept of exclusive worthless so I accept one with more common sense and for me streaming games through a device or emulating games on other devices doesn't negate the exclusivity of a title made for a specific system. For it to not be exclusive anymore it has to natively run on the other device's hardware not through streaming or emulation.
And yes companies shut down servers, Steam will shut down their servers eventually too and all your purchased games will become probably obsolete, this is not something that only Sony does. Every company that has games linked to any kind of proprietary service will eventually face the same issues.
Precisely... November 22, 2013 with the launch day... Forza Motors 5.
Another cow backfire..../thread. lol :P

You still don't get it or is it your fetish with Sony as a company? I don't need a PS4, equating it with me borrowing it from a friend is hilariously desperate attempt. Let me repeat it again I don't need the base system in any way, shape or form in my house just internet and subscription to PS Now.
And how would you stream it to Linux without having another PC that is playing the game? as far as I'm concerned yeah, go ahead get a PC to play the game on and then stream it to Linux on PS3 if you so desire. But that wasn't what you were implying in the previous post where you said that every game will run on Linux on PS3. And I highly doubt you can revert the firmware on PS3 once the later version is installed, hence the lawsuit.
What *can* happen is not at discussion here but what *did* happen. Team Fortress 2, CS, DOTA, Starcraft, WoW still up and running and going strong more than a decade after while you overlord Sony has shutdown the servers for the games in less than a year so that you caws can then go and buy the next MLB, GT etc when you paid $60 for the game and $60 for PS+. Did Sony refund your $60?

You can always stream from a system on the next house, it doesn't have to be in your house. The fact is that any restriction you put to your concept of exclusivity can be tackled technologically. It doesn't matter how difficult or straightforward it is, the fact that it is possible makes the term exclusive obsolete according to your definition.
You can easily install an old firmware on a PS3, the problem is that you wouldn't be able to play online and that's what people complained because for PSN you would need all people to have the same firmware. But anyways you wouldn't need PSN if you're just streaming games through linux. The technicals details are not important, the fact that it can be done is important here.

Exclusive games are games released on only one platform. Multiplatforms are games released for multiple platforms, not playable on multiple platforms. GBA games are playable on the PSP via emulation, this doesn't mean that GBA games are also PSP games.

So, you are buying the base system, to stream from it? Good because no such requirement exists for PS Now. And all the best for your efforts to let your neighbor buy a PC along it entire PC library just so you can them stream from it just so you can fight for the honor f your overlord Sony on SW, LMAO. The height of desperation and fetish with a plastic box.
So, you can stream to PS3 without being online or connected to the network...ummmm...what? The technical details are very important here because it outlines the desperation but in any case if that do happen and some service let's say Geforce Now allows all games on PC to stream to PS3, happily take it off the list of PC exclusives (which is the inevitable future all games will be streamed to all kind of devices that support it). Nevertheless no PC gamer will lose their sleep over it.
So which games were shut down in less than a year like on Sony's systems and did Sony provide any refunds? Other companies offer refunds in a similar cases like Epic withParagon and Xaviant with Culling 2 just from the top of my head.

I don't have to buy it, I can borrow or rent it. Basically with PSNow you're renting a PS4 to stream the game to your PC. My neighbor could already own a PC. Still, like I said, the technical details are not important, the important thing is that you can do it one way or another. PSNow is not available in most countries so are the games exclusive there and not elsewhere?
Connecting to the internet through linux on PS3 doesn't require PSN. The firmware restriction was to use PSN. If you claim it doesn't matter that PC loses its exclusives why are you fighting for it then? I already conceited that, according to your definition, there's no exclusives on PS4 or anywhere else. I just don't accept that particular definition.
"So which games were shut down in less than a year like on Sony's systems and did Sony provide any refunds?"

Lawbreakers out of the top of my head
So does your neighbor makes it universally available for everyone or most people in the world along with the entire library? I'm aware PS Now is not available worldwide currently but it's not a stretch to think it won't be in the future. I'm not fighting over PC exclusives I was highlighting the desperation behind equating a service provided by the entity that owns the rights legally to the games and platform to an individual but not your self that still had to buy the base platform. That is quite a reach just to defend the plastic box you're in love with. The technical details will always matter.
So, has Sony gone bankrupt or closed down like Boss Key Productions hell did even SIE got shut down? Yup, quite a reach. Again why would I care about 'owning' or 'renting' a Sony game when the SOny's past is extremely shaddy and there's no guarantee for anything. PS Now is a steal deal for 'one and done' Sony games.
I game mainly on PC but I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of games which servers have been shut down on PC.
The technical details shouldn't matter because these exclusives game is a numbers game and suddenly you would have to consider exclusives in a individual basis because a person can stream a game from its neighbor and the other doesn't then suddenly the games are exclusive for one and not for the other. It's moronic. It's better to just stick to the traditional definition of exclusive which ignored technical tricks like emulation to play a game elsewhere. Streaming is still playing the game on the original hardware but remotely.

Exclusive games are games released on only one platform. Multiplatforms are games released for multiple platforms, not playable on multiple platforms. GBA games are playable on the PSP via emulation, this doesn't mean that GBA games are also PSP games.
Sorry that meta is dead , and you guys change the goal posts whenver you like (somehow we use Metacritic now for example).
So the rules of multiplats is evolving with the times.

Yeah, sure, good luck telling people that Golden Sun is a PSP game, not a GBA game. Let's see how that will work for you. LMAO.

Cool! Thanks for agreeing the games I mentioned are no longer exclusives as they have been officially released for PS Now on PC.
Funny, though, I can't find anywhere on the internet a place listing Bloodborne as a PC game, I guess the internet disagree with you. lol
https://www.metacritic.com/search/all/bloodborne/results
https://www.gamespot.com/search/?q=bloodborne
https://br.ign.com/se/?type=review&q=bloodborne&order_by=-date
Hmmmmmm nowhere the game is listed as a PC game, I wonder why is that... lol
