Bishojo games are popular.

-------------------------

A bishōjo game (美少女ゲーム, bishōjo gēmu?), also known as game of beautiful girls is a type of Japanesevideo game centered on interactions with attractive female characters with typical aesthetic characteristics of manga and anime. Most bishōjo games involve some kind of romantic or seduction element, some becoming pornographic in the process.

Well it's not really the PC games that are cheap here, it's just the console games and pretty much everything else that is overpriced...

PC games are cheaper than console games here in the US, but when people say pc gaming is expensive they are talking about hardware.

:| PC games in the U.S are also cheaper than console games. In the UK PC games are cheaper than console games, though not that much cheaper. The real price that everyone complains about is the hardware. In the U.S it's not too bad, but in the UK and certain parts of Europe it's really not cheap at all. For those that don't know how to build their own PC's it's gonna be close to a grand to play the latest games on the highest settings.

Really? I get my PC games for £17-25 .... retail , Xbox £40 .... thats a huge difference to me, I can get 2 PC games for the price of 1 , or even more in some cases because of deals like Company of Heroes & Expansion in 1 for £17.

Not much cheaper? are you kidding? Console games, brand new cost £35-£45. Pc games, brand new cost £15-£27.

I got The Witcher, Crysis, UT3 and Gears of War for just under £90. That was last year before xmas. My friend got Mass effect and CoD4 for his 360, cost him over £80.

Most PC games in Britain are about 24.99 - 29.99 retail, with 360 games costing about 39.99. Thank the Lord for Amazon

Also, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h_?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=playstation+3

this is how much a Ps3 costs in the uk. My pc, E6750 duel core, 2 gig ram and 8800gts 640mb, 160gig hd, cost me £700 with monitor. Yes my pc cost more, but the price difference isn't what u would think. Yes i can play crysis all on high on XP.

The PC and Console market aren't either in competition with eachother, even one company, Microsoft, make money off BOTH, why do people go ON and ON about the PC vs. Consoles... usually its the Hermit's FURIOUSLY trying to justify the cost of their hardware.

No? My PC ( in my profile ) cost me £650 for teh entire tower ... my mate is building one in April, for £540 that is actually better than mine , except hes Duo not Quad Core ( his is higher clocked ), but he has a better GPU, everything else is similar.

We dont pay extra ontop of hardware, we do on all 3 consoles.

In direct currency conversion yes, but not at retail prices, the same PC would cost about $1000 from £700.

Your Average dual core PC with 2 GB RAM is about $1700 here. That's rather expensive.

Look at the link to the PS3. Premium PS3 costs £450. Thats only £250 less than my pc, i have made that up in software already. NOW do u understand?

EDIT: This would actually make a great new thread here in SW. I could post some links basically proving pc gaming isn't that expensive. Not in the uk anyway.

yes they do. That was my point. I was actually refering to the price of hardware though. £450 for a premium PS3, £35-£45 for games. £700 for high end pc with monitor, £15-£25 for games. Yet im told pc gaming costs the earth.

Most PC gamers get their PC games for much less than 25-35 euro's, if you know what I mean.

Except PC gaming isn't expensive in the USA - games are at least $10 cheaper than their console counterparts, come down in price rapidly, online distribution makes games like Savage 2 start at $30 (at launch) and come down from there. Also, PC parts are inexpensive in the USA - Newegg enables the $600 ~ $800 gaming PC easily.

who knows, we have only been shown the sales for november, no, 3 weeks in november and only in the US. During this 3 weeks, crysis didn't sell many BOXED copies in the US so its automatically classed as a poor game, strange.

Well when one of the Crysis developers comes out and says that because of pirating that Crysis is doing terrible in sales, you gotta know that somethings wrong.

Plus this is one of the PC's biggest hit's it should be selling a lot more box copies than it has.

Do u have a link to the crysis dev saying that? i would actually like to read that, hate piracy. On another note im not sure what crysis sales have to do with anything? Do sales make it a poor game? Do sales have anything to do with this thread? Will consolites ever realise pc games sell over time? unlike console games? I often buy old games, its the nature of pc gaming, mods and other downloads make games last a long long time. Many pc gamers wait a fair while b4 buying games.

Piracy is just a scapegoat greedy companies like Infinity Ward, Id, and Epic are using when they bring consolized crapfests to the PC and wonder why they aren't selling well.

How the Pc gaming market doing period.

Let's see, PC gaming market is 1.7 billion and console gaming market is 17.4 billion.

Who really cares how much PC games cost, when developers are switching over to consoles games because they can't make much profit selling PC games. :P

Developers aren't "Switching over to consoles" developers are "becomming multiplat". Heck, the same phenomenon is happening to console developers as well like Capcom. Because of the high development costs associated with games nowadays, almost all developers are beginning to go multiplat. Welcome to next gen. Oh, and PC still has the most announced exclusives.

True. actually, piracy is a huge problem for all media formats, something needs to be done, but I guess thats the downside to the PC .. open source.

[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"][QUOTE="Frozzik"]Well im one of the few pc gamers that believes piracy is a major problem. I think it will impact sales, more than people think. deangallop

Piracy is just a scapegoat greedy companies like Infinity Ward, Id, and Epic are using when they bring consolized crapfests to the PC and wonder why they aren't selling well.

You really believe that.

I just went to a torrent site and saw a counter for a Crysis rip that had

and no I'm not lying

199,137 total downloads.

Aye, i can believe you. Makes me so mad.

I completely believe that. Especially when the games ID and Epic release largely are worthless to pirates because they are mostly online games. Piracy is largely a scapegoat. FYI, I just checked Crysis and the largest ones I found only had 50 seeds. Exxageration much?

PC's are even more expensive in Japan then the USA, why else do you think the Japanese won't play World of Warcraft other then the game not being released there?

Seeds are only there helping, I'm talking about total complete downloads.

I found a Crysis torrent with 1103 seeds right now.

Now I know you're just blowing steam. I'm not gonna say which site I'm checking, because that will get me suspended, but its ont of the largest sites. The one with the most seeds is 50, with only about 300 leachers. So yes, you're blowing steam.

That was probably the pirated version that you can download online (siimliar to the English Touhou Projects), there has been no official release in Japan as far as I know.

Oh, I am, trust me. I know a few things about piracy, things I can't say cause I don't want to get suspended. Yes, you are blowing steam.
