According to Metacritic and Gamerankings it's Metal Gear Solid 4. I have to agree, that game was nowhere near a 10. Followed by GTA4 and Super Mario Galaxy 2 was the best.

Probably MGS4, just for the writing. It's a damn shame, too. Overall the series story is really cool, if poorly told.
I can't say about Super Mario Galaxy 2, but if it's about the same as 1 in length, gameplay, and quality then I'd probably give it an 8.5-9.
I did really enjoy GTA 4, but was it perfect? I don't think so as I can think of numerous things to improve it, I probably would've given it a 9-9.5
I felt MGS4 was the weakest of the bunch, so that's what I chose. Given, I'm not a fan of the franchise. I probably would've given it an 8-8.5
SMG2 having zero votes makes me very happy.
I meant to click MGS4... I clicked GTA4... oh well I didn't particularly love either.
I only know one thing
if any game this generation deserves AAAA its Mario Galaxy not Mario Galaxy 2
GTA IV is.... overrated but a solid game. A 8.5 to 9.0 would suffice.
MGS IV i never really played much (only beaten it once) as i am burned out by that franchises
MGS 4 is INCREDIBLY pretentious, the very definition of the word should list MGS 4 as an example.
gta 4 is just plain overated,

And that's really all this boils down to. Most here haven't played all of these games and will judge them based solely on their score.

Have played. Think it deserved 8.0 The first Metal Gear Solid was my favorite. Yes, but did you play every game? From what I've played of it, I thought GTA4 was worse than MGS4 and much less deserving of its score, even though I wouldn't rate either of them a 10.GTA4 and EFLC are on my list of favorite games this gen, right next to the Mass Effects and Red Dead Redemption.
well even if i wasent a big fan of either MGS4 and GTA4
atleast MGS4 was an understandable 10, because many people love the series, and i can imagine it was great to see all those characters again. Even if the story for someone who hasent played all of the MGS was really all over the place.
while GTA4 was a huge disappointment for me, i loved san andreas, and imo it was as close to a 10 as an GTA game can get. GTA4 lacked so many features that made san andreas so great.
Of course, your majesty. Please forgive me for disagreeing with you. I shall now throw myself off the highest peak!mgs4 was the best game ever made, whoever disagrees needs to quit gaming

IMO It's Metal Gear Solid 4
First off I haven't played alot of Super Mario Galexy 2 to judge it yet, Metal Gear Solid 4 was awesome during single player with amazing cutscenes and sweet boss fights and good way to end Snake's story, but lacked alot of replay value to be AAAA imo, because GTA 4 is open world and has many things to do after you beat the game like stunts, getting drunk and fighting, races, getting six stars, trying to get all achievements/trophies (Which Metal Gear Solid 4 lacks Trophies), imo Metal Gear Online isn't as fun as GTA 4 Multiplayer is miles ahead in that, plus GTA 4 has co-op based modes in multiplayer.
Also it took me about 50+ hours to complete GTA 4 for the first time and I've finished the story twice choosing different options than my first playthrough and I'm on my third time with a total of almost 100+ Hours of gameplay, where Metal Gear Solid 4 was sitting on my shelf after 10 hours. Most people don't like GTA 4 because I didn't feel like San Andreas (Which imo that game you can pretty much do anything you want in your own city, with no realism in mind), even though GTA 4 isn't as good as GTA San Andreas I liked how it took a different direction and focused on realism, which was amazing in GTA 4.
But anyway niether GTA 4 or Metal Gear Solid 4 are AAAA material to me, Uncharted 2 and Red Dead Redemption are closer imo.
I despse Grand Crap Auto more than any franchise in the history of gaming.
Grand Crap Auto 4 stars a illegal immigrant who violates the laws and has zero standards. Rockstar Gamers manipulated and fooled millions of gamers into thinking that this TERRORIST is a gangster, and convinced so many that morals can be wiped away clean provided you keep it in the dimension of your imagination of your world.
GTA IV, not only was it the worst "10," but it is a bad game with horrid controls and terrible acting, story, gameplay, graphics. I can't comprehend how someone could enjoy that turd.
MGS IV was amazing, with only a few technical hiccups (install, updates) bringing it down. Haven't played SMG2.
