Yeah I know both consoles still haven't come out but let's talk about speculation.

Which controller do you think will be better? PS4 or Xbone?

For me, I chose Dualshock 4 simply because I don't like assymetrical analog placement, it feels weird for me, especially when I'm playing FPS, my left thumb placed slightly higher than my right thumb, God made my hand symmetrical you know.

Although I gotta admit the trigger in X360 are so much better than Dualshock 3, so thats why I really glad when Sony fix Dualshock 4 WITHOUT changing analog placement. And don't forget the touchpad. Yeah, I still don't know that'll be good or bad, but hey, you got it for the same price with Xbone controller, so why not? Again it's only my personal opinion, what say you?

ps4 and 360

Obviously the DS4 The DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller features familiar controls while incorporating new ways to interact with games and other players. Improved dual analog sticks and trigger buttons offer an even greater sense of control, while the capacitive touch pad opens up endless potential for new gameplay possibilities. DS4 looks more comfy to me. The DS3 and 360 controllers were both uncomfortable, and since the xbone didn't change much, it's a no no.

The Xbox 1 controller but I will be using the other one next gen so hopefully Sony made the big improvements count .

I hate the Dual Shits with a passion .

maybe the 3rd party guys will make an x1 controller for the ps4 like they make a 360 controller for the ps3 and everyone can once again have the best controller no matter which system they get.

i'm sure there will be plenty of demand for it next gen just like there was this gen.

The general layout of the Playstation controlller to me is just wrong - so they'll never have the better controller until they ditch the fundemental design. Which they won't do because long time Sony fans have become used to the inferior design.

While the Xbox controller in each gen has some problems (rounded buttons, D-pad), on the whole they were pretty good controllers. The One controller looks like it'd be the definitive standard controller.

This is coming from a Nintendo guy, so I don't have particular bias towards either company here.

Both seem good. Touchpad may or may not be useful. Lightbar is dumb without a camera. Xbone looks better. Impulse triggers...I dunno. Prefer swapping batteries to tethering cables.

X1 controller, but the DS4 seems to be really improved to where any advantage of the Xbox controller might be less significant, on the DS4 the wider spaced analogs that are shorter and include convex tips should make a big difference to me, and a springy triggers as well should be nice, but MS adding improved rumble into triggers is nice as well. I think it could go either way. I don't really care about the D-pad issue on the Xbox 360 since despite peoples bitching it worked fine since 99% the time it was simply used for stuff like weapon and inventory control, and the only fighter I played was Mortal Kombat and the analog worked fine for that. Despite D-pad though, not sure how I feel about the new bumpers, they look weird.

Definately the x1 controller. Superior rumble, better overall design and proper stick layout. A perfect follow up to the best controller ever made, the 360 controller.

They've fixed none of my DS3 issues: mainly that the most comfortable position for the controller is the one that pretends that the D-Pad is still the main control input used in games. On the flipside, DS will still be better for fighters because of this.

Sony fanboys must still think that the d-pad is more important than the analogs which is why they defend the placement

Xbone controller but only because the 360 pad was more comfortable then any DS controller.

Wii U pad is a pretty good controller but the system lacks games.

The xbox one controller will have to be really, really ergonomic for me to consider it over the dualshock 4, so probably the dualshock 4 will be better.

Can't wait to try em both.

So the fact its a better designed controller means its shit because it needs batteries? TBH I'd far rather have batteries I can replace instantly rather than having to recharge batteries that run out.

The DS4 is bigger, re-designed and more feature packed than the X1 controller. Also, the main reason I prefer DS4 is the D-pad

Xbox D-pad is one of the worst ever made.

The dual shock 4 screams gimmicks.  Seriously why is there a touchpad on the controller.  Seems so ridiculous.  Like the Vita touchpad on the back.  So unnecessary and kinda stupid to me.  But cows like to fall for gimmicks al the time.  Look at eyetoy, sixaxis, move, wonderbook.

oh no, the battery might die some day, but probably never for most gamers. Yeah, I guess if you are too lazy to just plug it into a USB port after a gaming session, the rechargeable aspect might be annoying. But I do like how you try to pass off opinions as fact regarding design as if you've held either one. Sorry, fanboys, there's no science that says that the stick placement is better when asymmetrical or symmetrical. If the triggers feel comfortable and are easy to use, then that + the rumble technology is a valid + over the competition for it.

You haven't even held either one.

the dualshock 4 looks nearly perfect, but the ergonomics of the other are in question.  Unless the grips are like cradels and the asymmetric sticks feel natural, it's crap.

Not saying the Xbox controller won't be perfect too, you just can't be sure.

I won't know until I feel them both for myself. The DH4 has been greatly improved, so I have to wait until I get my hands on it. I hated the DH3 analog sticks and I still don't care for their location. I like the XBox 360's locations better as well as the button placements. The 360's triggers blew the DH3's away. The only things I'm concerned about with the new XBox One controller is the increased size of it and the d-pad. Is the D-Pad fixed now?

People on here who haven't used any of these controllers yet shouldn't be picking anything. If you haven't tried them and your just picking DH4 or XB1 controller because it was your favorite last gen, then you'r just bias.

Right off the bat, i'll say how the Ps4 controller looks better

1. Flat, non hard buttons

2. Vastly better D-pad and natural top placement

3. Symmetrical sticks

4. Non bulky design

People say the triggers on the DS4 are perfect, the Xbox's are probably good too but it sounds like the bumpers (L1, R1) still feel crappy, so that's another plus for the DS4

Still gotta try both, but Ds4 most likely is way better.

LMAO!! No.

XBOX 360 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DS3

I've used them both for years. The DS3 is a mess. It wasn't even a DS3 when it launched as it didn't even have rumble.

Yes the DS2 was better then the original XBox controller. That beastly thing was made for football and basketball player's hands.

The XBox S controller was = to DS2 however. The d-pad was still crap however.

Dreamcast controler >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>DS2.

I am a big fan of haptic feedback (Novint Falcon owner here), so I'm going with the One. The prospect of being able to 'feel' the direction of enemy fire etc. is truly exciting.
