Which country do you think is the worst place to be a gamer? I mean because of game bans and censors etc.
Thanks.

Korea at least Australia gets games in their language. We have harsh AND corrupt censorship system (Mario was once rated an equivalence of Mature, since one of its minigames depicted a slot machine, and they somehow related that to gambling), plus 80% our games are not translated EDIT: delays? We just got Super Smash Bros Brawl here, and Twilight Princess arrived 2 years late. And our Wii is not backward compatible.funsohng
I've always wondered do they teach Japanese in S.Korea in school or what cuz they always get untranslated Japanese games there.

The video gaming market is just too small for any of the major publisher to localize every single game. (And percentage-wise, we do have more Japanese-speaking population than probably any non-Japanese country too, and yes Japanese is offered as a third language course along with Mandarin) That changed with Nintendo, since Nintendo of Korea's policy is to only release localized games, but not that made the Nintendo library in Korea relatively weaker. But hey, we did get Twilight Princess, which was the first home console Zelda to be fully localized. And now we are finally getting Final Fantasy XIII localized for the first time in the series (excluding X-2, which isn't even in the main series anyway). Most of the Sony and MS first party games were localized tho, from God of War, Halo, Killzone 2, inFamous, Gears of War, etc, but most of the third party games are left as it is. And sometimes we get this weird situation where a distributor can only afford one version of the game so only release PS3 version of the game translated, while other company (usually the first party) releases it untranslated on 360 or vice versa.[QUOTE="SpinoRaptor24"][QUOTE="DarkLink77"]

Any place where the standard of living makes being a gamer only possible for the richest possible people. Places like Russia, Brazil and China. Censorship can be avoided by importing... affording a console or PC in the first place makes it that much more difficult.
