Which has produced better visuals, PS2 or Wii?

IYO? I took two of the most visually advanced games on the systems.

Wii:

PS2:

A mediocre looking Wii game compared to the best looking PS2 game.

Wonderful comparison. Nothing better to do?

Galaxy looks better than any PS2 game.

Hell, in my opinion, RE4 on the GC had better graphics than any PS2 game, the newer GOW included.

I'm going to go with this one saying they blow away those and has 16 player online muliplayer to boot all fun under 10 bucks but heck, MS just gave it away Free ! :D

I'm no fanboy, but I honestly believe that the PS2 as the better graphics *so far*. As good as SMG and SSBB look, they don't quite edge out FFXII, SotC and GoW2 IMO.microwavedapple

The WII is more powerful than the PS2 but it doesn't have any games that have surpassed it's best looking games yet .kaangonultas

Really? So I guess we'll just forget about SMG, SSBB and MP3, then.

It always surprises me how much "jaggier" Galaxy looks in screens like this than it does in motion on my TV.

Granted, I play my Wii on my standard def TV because it looks better than it does on my HDTV, but on the TV I play it on it looks much smoother than that picture would lead people (who have not played the game) to believe.

haha had a wii since launch buddy and just sold it. SMG is overated clocked in a few days. and as for looks, it's bright and colourful but hardly breaks the mould does it? sorry nintendo just doesn't cut it with me any more. to me nintendos new approach to gaming is like political correctness, everyones involved, nobdy benefits, everyone suffers. and i thought cows where the worst????

This is a list of screenshots of the best looking Wii and the best looking PS2 games. I just took some random screenshots that looked prety good. The only real qualification was that they werent cutscenes, not even in-engine cutscenes. Also no games with pre-rendered sceneries allowed.

And to end my post a quick comparison of RE4 Wii and PS2.

I think the original Xbox vs Wii would have been much closer.
