OoT is probably the most well-designed, defining and definitely the most important, but I like Majora's Masks more daring approach.
I'd say OoT>MM>WW>TW. I feel that the N64 Zelda games curb-stomped the GC ones, which were great too (especially WW), but just not on the same level IMO.
Ones I have played: Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess
Enjoyment:
OoT: 9/10 (got a little tedious around the Shadow Temple so I haven't finished yet)
WW: 3/10 (hate the artstyIe, hate the animations, hate the setting, liked the sailing)
TP: 8/10 (finished it twice, enjoyed it both each time, thought it was a solid, if convoluted game)
Quality:
OoT: 10/10 (tons of things to do, A Link to the Past in 3D, amazing dungeon design, fantastic music)
WW: 7/10 (empty feeling world, weird dungeon/level design, can't get over the horrible artstyIe)
TP: 8/10 (way too much to do, way too freaking easy, story gets messed up at the end by a returning and completely unnecessary adversary, waggle in Wii version removes from the experience)
I have played about an hour of Majora's Mask, read a bit about it, and heard a lot of conversations about it on the internet. It sounds like an amazing game that is right up my alley. I can only wager a guess that it will probably end up being 9/10 or 10/10 for enjoyment and 10/10 for quality.

Fox...you should play Majora's Mask NOW. It ventures into areas and topics that you will never see in any other Nintendo game, such as suicide, love, and family. Majora's Mask has an extremely depressing atmosphere, all of the characters have their own schedules and problems and aren't one-dimensional like most Nintendo characters, and there is a huge amount of back-story that is alluded to.
Nearly every single mask you collect is a memento of someone who was ****ed over in life and never had a chance to complete their dreams or fulfill their responsibilities to their loved ones. When you don those masks, you see everything through their eyes and the world reacts accordingly. This game is extremely creepy and twisted, in a good way. Forget everything else that is on your playlist, and grab a copy of Majora's Mask. I think you will love it.

Oh... I know. I want to be able to have enough time to invest in the whole game. I don't want to sit down, start playing, and then have to give up because of other obligations in life. I'll get to it eventually. Its sitting on my TV stand right next to my N64 ready to go, I just need the right amount of time to devote to the game in order to fully appreciate it.
What I find kind of disappointing is that Nintendo doesn't really try to make games like MM anymore, and just goes for what will please the most people and sell the most copies.foxhound_fox
1. Throw away your cell-phone, cancel your internets, break up with your girlfriend (:P),...Do whatever you have to do to make time for this game!
2. Fox, Nintendo has NEVER made any game quite like Majora's Mask.

i chose twilight princess. i enjoyed ocarina of time A LOT more than tp when it came out, but twilight princess is simply oot with better graphics and gameplay so thats why i chose it.
as for the others, i couldnt even force myself to play through the wind waker (i thought it was trash) and i never played majoras mask.
a link to the past is the best zelda game
Well, I'll give you a couple of hints when you DO play it (Which shouldn't be hard thanks to the Wii's virtual Console):Ones I have played: Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess

a. Play OOT's Song of Time backwards to slow the timer down (Which makes things less tedious).
b. Use a guide because this game is pretty damn hard & confusing (Especially the last two dungeons), which is saying something because I don't use a guide as often in the other three.
c. Get every mask possible to make the experience more worthwhile.
d. Before you go back in time, use the Rupee bank to save your Rupees.

Yeah, the rest of the time the save system isn't gamebreaking. :P

True that. That save system pretty much secured MM's position in my favorite 3-D Zelda Games list.[QUOTE="789shadow"]
