Did you get to that Pokemon Identity game yet?

Pokemon identity game?

What is that? :P

Only the greatest Pokemin game ever. It's a beta and you have to download it, but it doesn't take much space.

I see. I might try it out later :P

I always have a soft spot for Ruby as it was my first Pokemon game, I didn't really care about them before but man, Ruby made me a fan.

All of them are crap.

Why isn't Black/White winning? It has everything the previous games had and more.meetroid8

Because people are picking the best pokemon game (for its time)

Gold/Silver set the gold standard for what is a great pokemon game.

Black and white is a better game now (being newer and such), but for its time Gold/Silver was better.

I think Black and White are better than Gold/Silver/Crystal by just a little bit. The reason being I bought SoulSilver and realized that the Kanto side of things should've had a level boost or something because it was too easy. As a kid, I was not too worried about that.

Black and White bring new stuff that is good but is still recognizable all the same. Some of the character designs are questionable (Vanilluxe, Alomomola, etc) but there have actually been some great additions to the roster and mechanics. They are not my favorite titles (Platinum is number 1 for me) but they are probably the best.

Yeah, it's sort of unfair to compare B/W to any of the earlier games since, to a newcomer, B/W is better than all since it has built on the mechanics of its predecessors. For its time, G/S still remains the king, taking everything the originals did and expanding on it while greatly improving on the original battle mechanics.

I've not played Black/White/diamond/pearl yet but I'm gonna pick them up in a couple of weeks...

Gold/Silver/Crystal are my favourites out of the ones I've played and I can safely say Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald were my least favourite. The reason G/S/C/HG/SS win it for me, is that the first 251 pokémon are pretty original and appealing, plus Johto was an awesome region. Furthermore, you get the nostalgia of returning to Kanto and playing out all the battles you did in the original Red/Blue/Yellow :)

If Johto didn't have the multiple regions however, I'd be inclined to go for Pokemon Yellow/Red/Blue, they had a lot of charm :P
