Valve
(though I also say Bioware, most people won't agree)

Yes.
Neverwinter Nights 2 was a huge disappointment.. It was even more linear then the last game and furthermore it was the most inoptemized PoS to come out.. To date I still can't think of another game that was as demanding as that for the time with the visuals it provided.. KOTOR2 was a unfinished mess with literally one of the worse endings of any game I have ever seen.. People give ME3's ending a hard time, don't ever play KOTOR 2 then.. Its 10 times worse.. New Vegas is a great game with serious bug problems and awful animations (though one can't blame them on the second, they are using Beth's engine).. sSubZerOo
Can't pick one company for my own tastes. So I'll just pick a person. Hideki Kamiya. Dude's track record is marvelous.
Resident Evil 2
Devil May Cry
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe 2
Okami
Bayonetta
Blizzard's stuff isn't my cup of tea, but I can agree that as a company they've never really laid an egg with any of their games.
[QUOTE="SpiralSmile"]Rockstar and Naughty Dog. Both deliver a very high level of quality titles. I wish I could still say Square Enix.... :(crimsonman1245
They actually are now that Eidos is part of SE.
Great point. Human Revolution and Just Cause 2 were both amazingValve, CDPR, Eidos, and Bioware.
Although considering Valve's only one game per decade they like to take their time.

OK, you got it with Valve and Blizzard for sure. But with all of Nintendo's offerings, they've had a few misses (granted very minor ones) with some games that only made it as AA. And let me emphasise there is nothing wrong with AA and those are great games. But the other 3 (Bungie, Valve, and Blizzard) have hit that AAA homerun every time. They are in a league outside Nintendo.
The difference between Valve/Blizzard and Nintendo is one is a developer that outputs 1-2 games per year and the other is a publisher who releases, idk, 30 games a year?Your comparison becomes meaningless.
Nintendo's AAA tier is always stellar whether it's Retro with Prime/DKCR, EAD Tokyo with Galaxy/3DL or the home console Zelda team with OoT/MM/WW/TP/SS.

Nah, Valve is not that bad, they have a new game almost every year.
Still, in Valve time 1 year might as well be 10.Which is the developer that no matter what they release, you know your going to get your moneys worth?Second_HokageThe two that come to mind are Naughty Dog and Bioware. Blizzard is up there too, but their last 3 launches WoW, Starcraft and Diablo 3 have had bad starts. We can't have that.
Infinity Ward and Treyarch.
You know you're getting quality because every release is the same with awesome extras added every time.
You haven't played any of their Kinect games then. lol!! Just horrible. Ubisoft makes plenty of bad games. Rockstar and Nintendo has good track records. Nintendo has made some bad games to though. That Music game they made was crap. Punchout wasn't great either. I was disappointed. Rockstar has hit homeruns with just about all their games.I've never played a bad Ubisoft game.

Not true. The maps in MW3 are mediocre, the single player has been steadily declining both in terms of quality and lenght since the first MW game which was phenomenal, now it's just a decent 5 hour tutorial. I don't remember there being a cheater every other online session that completely ruins the mood for me aswell (PC version).
I've also heard from more hardcore fans that it's more unbalanced than ever before, it's not something I would notice as a casual fan of the series.
They made Austin Power games? I'll agree with State of Emergency. Table Tennis was excellent. Best table tennis game I've ever played, period. Everything was very good. I've never played and Austin Power games.lol at people saying Rockstar
they have made plenty of bad games, GTA4, La Noire, Max Payne 3, State of Emergency, Midnight Club LA, Table Tennis, All the Ausin power games

Naughty Dog and Rockstar, I have never been disappointed with any of their products. Except for Rockstars Man Hunt, that game was just terrible to every level, like they were just going for shock value and massive violence and not gameplay or design.
I was a little disappointed with GTA4 but it still wasn't a bad game, just not as good as it could have been. But overall Rockstar is an excellent dev and so is Naughty Dog, the latter is practically perfect.

Bungie, for listining to their fanbase.
And for inventing the FPS on consoles.
GamerwillzPS
Lol.
I'm pretty sure the "invented" FPS on consoles is pure hyperbole. Though Halo can be credited with advancing online multiplayer on consoles and expanding on community building. And he's right about Bungie taking feedback from their fanbase.
Nintendo when we're talking about their main franchise lineup, and excluding the spinoff titles.
Blizzard
Bungie
Valve
If we're talking old school I'd also include 90s Rareware, and Westwood

Yeah ok I'll rephrase it. They reinvented the FPS on consoles.
The majority of modern FPS's on consoles can have their gameplay roots traced back to Compat Evolved.
So it was the grandfather of FPS.

Lol at using gamespot as an exclusive source of reviews and LOL at thinking that 8.5/8.8 is a poor score.

Those are good scores. Plus, even the most consistent developers will probably have a slip-up every once in a while. Oh and you relied on GS scores, which mean very little. On Metacritic these three games scored 93, 95/96, and 90. Gamespot scores were all lower than average. In fact, GS's score for Skyward Sword in the lowest 5 scores on Metacritic.Oh and Nintendo may release mostly AAE games, but with the barrage of AAE games with some AAAE games mixed in on the way, adds up to a lot of awesome gameplay experiences. Which is the main reason why Nintendo is so dependable.
