Which one will have a bigger reaction if it flops? Skyward Sword or Uncharted 3?

i'm going to say, both.

Uncharted 3 is cows answer to MS, and who cares about PC or Nintendo, is all about Ps3 vs 360 for cows and lemms, damage control was huge when it was about GT5 and Forza 3, Infamous 2 has been pretty big too, so i can only imagine what would it be a 7.5 on Uncharted 3.

Zelda SS, yeah, TP fiasco was pretty big, but honestly, who is left to complain? there are very few sheep around here :? still, it would be pretty damn huge too.

Remember Infamous 2. It can likely happen to uncharted3.Tom doesn't favour sequels a lot unless they change the game up a lot.

I'm not sure as many people are expecting AAA from Skyward Sword after the whole Twilight Princess debacle. And this time around, there are many more people seemingly skeptical of all the motion control, graphical style, etc. I think Uncharted 3 would get a bigger reaction if it flops.

Uncharted, Skyward Sword already has people thinking it's not that great, art style is not good, just over all not that great comments. Uncharted is being hyped up to skies.

UC3 because of how much UC2 is used in arguments. Cows would use UC2 to argue, and then whoever they argue with would respond with something along the lines of "what about UC3?"

Its just a game we play on this message board. There really needs to be a specific sticky explaining this point.

When a big title (especially exclusives) is coming up, someone takes it upon themselves to create a hype thread. Typically a poll is set up and you vote either AAAA (10), AAA ( 9, 9.5), AA ( 8, 8.5), A (in the 7s), etc..

Then when the game is scored it either meets the hype, or flops based on the poll results. If a game is hyped AAAA, but instead gets a 9.5 then it is considered a flop. Not a bad game by any means, but a flop in the SW game. On that same note if a game is hyped to be A, but scores an 8 then it exceeded its hype and there is no "ownage".

We don't honestly care about the reviewers opinion when it comes to the hype/flop metagame.

GT5 was a huge flop and I accepted the ownage. Didnt keep me from absolutely loving the game and pouring way too much time into it. On the other hand I thought MGS4 was pretty bad, but it scored perfect and exceeded all hype. As a huge MGS fan I thought it sucked, but that has nothing to do with the SW game.

We all know that this has nothing to do with the real world. Its just one of the many things that provide lulz in SW.

The Twilight Princess flop was huge, but I don't think a Skyward Sword flop would be as big. It would probably be bad, but not TP bad. TP was going to be DAT Zelda game. I think with SS, the expectations are less than with TP.

Now Uncharted 3, the Cows holy game from their most holy exclusive series from the most holy developer Naughtydog that can do no wrong. Me thinks UC3 flop will be huge, but I thought the same about GT5 which was completely blown off, so who knows really.

The only thing I know for sure is that if either one or both flop, the lulz will be beautiful. Hell, throw in a Gears 3 flop and a Forza 4 7.5 and this will be the best year of flops. :lol:

i cant speak for you DL, but i like uncharted because of the stories....im a history major so i find the tales and cities interesting, the cinematics are a nice touch as well

I think Uncharted 3

For me Uncharted would be the massive flop. Everything I'm seeing about it looks fantastic so it would be very shocking. Its a series that has a lot of devoted fans and is coming off a massively successful prior.

This is coming from a Sony fan who was more than okay with the recent flopish PS3 scores.

Uncharted 3 would be bigger, but it won't flop anyway and i doubt SS will either.

Personally, I thought Uncharted was a 7.0. It had some good moments, maybe even great ones, however, it just had too many faults to it. It was a good game. Nothing more at all. I sold it to buy MW2. After playing MW2 I realized that everyone on System Wars was right about it so I sold it and ironically used the money to buy Uncharted 2 and Wind Waker. Best desicion I've ever made :P

After playing Uncharted 2 though, I must admit that Uncharted 1 is literally unplayable. My friend needed help beating it on crushing, and my god, every little bit of the game was improved in Uncharted 2. U1 is just so bad now. I I personally think the story in U1 is a tad bit better, everything else, like I said, is just worse. U1 is now pointless. As much as I like Uncharted 2, I have a feeling the entire series will end up like that. As soon as one iteration is made, the last will be made pointless. A key difference between Zelda (and other Nintendo franchises for that matter) and Uncharted I say.

I doubt that either will flop, but UC3 will have the biggest fallout. Musings regardind SS have been fairly quiet around SW.
