My first RPG as well :)
That game was revolutionnary for it's time! I remember the Mad Doctor that wanted the cat. He was tough!! Now i fell like playing that game again!

You're right, this thread certainly makes you feel old. The original FF was my first. I remember an older freind of mine had it and we played it a good bit, then I was able to get it cheap at Wal-Mart. I remember that I got all the way to the cave with the 3 witches/sisters as the boss. I was so happy to get bast that when I replayed my GBA copy.

I'm still a little more partial to the older FFs (1-6) as well as all the FF and FF Adventures games on the GB. Guess there's just something about that old style I love. I even perfer a lot of the DS stuff to the console RPGs now.

I was just curious thats all. When I was young I kinda missed out on the first jrpgs and wrpgs cause all i cared about was pretty colors and explosions. As I grew that changed and I was introduced to FF7 hell I didint even know what RPG meant until this game. ...and for that reason it always had a special place in my heart. SO how about you guys?

because it was made by bioware which is canadian

and I've never had interest in games like final fantasy and square enix
