Who else thinks SMG2 was the only game that deserved its 10 this gen?

Thank you, well said. You should play more than 2 hours, but it is pretty much exactly the same as the first aside from a few new outfits and abilities. That does not deserve a 10, and I'm getting tired of everyone raving, acting like this is 100x better and innovative than the first as if SMG was the original Mario and SMG2 is Mario 64. It's not that different, and does not deserve a 10 due to it. Unquestionably a great game, but let's be realistic.....not a leap or enough originality to garner a 10.

MGS4 I guess can be argued. I personally think 9.5.

They don't suck, trust me. I have every star in the game, and the second half of the game may be my favorite (which is crazy to say). A lot of them are simple to get, but most of them require you to do some really crazy platforming that just makes getting them so much better. Read my upcoming review in System Wars Monthly. ;)

How the hell does a GTA game have more variety than Super Mario Galaxy 2? SMG2 literally has ideas that are used in a single level and never used again.

First calm down. Now what are these "ideas" in SMG2 that are only used once? Like flipping platforms? I hardly call that an "idea".

Well, GTA IV certainly didn't deserve a 10. It was great game, no doubt, but the terrible controls and bad gunplay should have at least brought it down to 8.5 IMO.

GTA 4 was over rater. But I think MGS4 and mario are equel. Best two games I've played this gen.

I believe that MGS4 and SMG2 both deserve a 10. Both awesome games.

Honestly though, I'm more inclined to say SMG2 deserves a 9.5 because after playing a good amount, it really doesn't feel or look too different from SMG1. I like the new methods of how the camera angles rotate and pan in and out in the game though.
