The only way the 360 stands a chance to the PS3 is if they add the PC/360 "exclusives" there which people right now are doing. Also my preference lies in the PS3 so...
a_simple_gamer
Actually it only takes Alan Wake and Halo Reach to have a better lineup in 2010 for me than PS3, which only had rents like GOW3, Heavy Rain for me
See, not everyone likes games that are linear, short, repeatitive and over in a single sitting, with coriddor like "worlds"
I wont even mention the 9.5/10 Mass Effect 2 that is an almost AAAA game on 360 and PS3 of course does not have it and Fable 3 that is my most wanted title this generation by far too and only on 360 in consoles
Fable 3 the most wanted title this gen

At least Fable 3 is not just another standard RPG, going by the book, like Dragon age, Demon Soul, Mass effectetc etc etc and the million similar others
I get to rule kingdoms, i cant think of any other to allow me this
I also get a stunning overworld map, that again no game has given me this generation aside Lost Odyssey
i have a xbox and the only thing that I like them to do is to bring us some better exclusives.you know some of xbox's perfect games like mass effect 2 and conviction are not exlusives since they exist on PC too.and most of our 2010 exclusives which released lately just scored less than 9.N3II scored 3.5.ps3 has a lot of better exclusives.I mean most of it's excluives take a 9 or at least a 8 as theire score and also they are exclusives and you can not find them anywhere else.I think M$ should pay more attention to our exclusives.

Those are the facts, on the official site
Ps3 definitely has the best exclusives on paper, but I've played most of them and they're not all that fun. They tend to have too many cutscenes, limited worlds, generic gameplay, and short lengths. I am looking forward to little big planet 2, but it wasn't enough to convince me to get a ps3 over a 360 slim.
PS3 = 8 AAA Exclusives Xbox 360 = 6 AAA Exclusives Your Point?NerubianWeaver
they both have 21 games that are AAE or better. they are tied.
There's a discrepancy there. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter isn't an Xbox 360 exclusive. So the PS3 wins ghost recon on PC is an entirely different game.Um someone needs to give me a list of these amazing 360 exclusives with massive worlds, innovative gameplay, 12 hour plus campaigns and amazing multiplayer.Ps3 definitely has the best exclusives on paper, but I've played most of them and they're not all that fun. I don't know about exclusives, but I have Mass Effect 2 and it has all those things minus multiplayer. And it has the superior versions of Fallout 3 (PC version is better than both, though) and RDR. And Halo Reach looks like it's going to have all those things. I personally feel that Halo Wars has all those things too, but I know that I'm mostly alone in my love for that game.

Mass Effect 1 (huge game, plantes to epxlore, non linear)
Mass Effect 2 (huge game, a univese to epxlore, non linear)
Mass Effect 3
Fable 2 (huge game, changing non linear world, variety in gameplay)
Fable 3 (huge game, changing non linear world, variety in gameplay, huge overworld map, rule kingdoms)
Lost Odyssey (huge game, non linear in the end like old FF games, overworld map)
Also Risen, Divinity 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Tales of Vesperia, Last Remanant, Blue Dragon, Magna Carta 2
all those have massive worlds, more than 30 hours gameplay (some 60+ hours), Fable 2is the most innovative RPG in years and i dont play multiplayer, so that 9art owould not care about at all
BTW, all those have cities, NPCs, questsand are real RPGs, unlike FF13 for example

I said give some 360 EXCLUSIVES with massive worlds, 12 hour plus campaigns, Innovative Gameplay and Amazing Multiplayer. I meant in one package. Due include non RPG's for length because the PS3 has RPG's as well thanks.
Edit: By the way I'm not saying the PS3 has tons of those games either. I just want a_simple_gamer to prove what he says since he makes it seem like 95% of PS3 exclusives are linear, short and repetitive while the 360 is just a heaven for massive games.

Only Demon Soul took me weeks to finish on PS3, any other title i played was over in a day (1.5 day in MGS4 case)
BTW, i have not played all PS3 games, i did not like Valkyria Chronicles at all, hated the demo and WKC is not my thing at all, so those may be bigger ones, but not games i would play at all (not even rent)
In short, PS3 could use more games like Demon Soul
FF13vs may or may not be good (if it is like FF13, will be a disaster imo) and Ni no kuni looks cool too, so PS3 is getting more big ones i want to play (well, if turn out good), but nothing like the WRPGs on 360 (aside Demon Soul always)

Both systems could use longer, non - repetitive, open world games. The 360 may have a couple more because it gets more WRPG support then the PS3 but it's not much. Another thing is you downplaying GOW III and other PS3 exclusives for being short, linear and repetitive and then in the next line listing Alan Wake which has that same sort of gameplay just in a different genre.[QUOTE="Silverbond"]

I don't see how anyone could take more then 10 hours on Alan Wake personally but okay that's your experience. IMO it's length is on par with GOW. I like RPG's also, it just well IMO most of them suck this generation.PS3. And any argument about how games need to be open and non-linear is ridiculous. There are excellent games in both categories and both have their place. And both systems have plenty of each.Deathtransit
But 360 has far more of that kind, PS3 for me mainly has Demon Soul, which is bust one game and nothing in the future, while 360has Mass Effect 1-2-3, Fable 2-3, Risen, Divinity 2etc etc etc
Indeed, all games have their place, but the 8 hours ones like GOW3, Uncharetd 1-2 etc are rents to me

i have a ps3, a 360 and a pc. i happen to have Left 4 Dead 1 and mass effect for both 360 and pc. you're telling me i technically have 4 exclusives there? i have left 4 dead 1 and 2 for pc... you're telling me those are exclusives for my pc? like i said, console exclusive is very much a silly term. those games play the same, if not ALOT better on pc. they're in in direct competition with the 360. why would you exclude it from your "made up group"? you cant just magically pretend that those MULTIPLATS don't exist for said other system/platform. If you have say Dead Space for ps3, 360 and pc, whats the term you have for those since wii doesnt have it? How would you pit together that group? Can you call them exclusive because the wii doesnt have dead space? you starting to get the picture yet?
Look above you. you see those tabs on the GS site that have PC, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PS2, PSP, DS, IPhone, mobile? do you see them put together in some kind of "made up group". Ok let's do it another way. type in mass effec, fable, mass effect 2, etc in the search box. click on the 360 versions, im 100% sure they'll say "also available on pc". Why is that? oh that's right because it's not exclusive. Now again, what makes you think those games are not exclusive? Why do you use the term "console exclusive"? Please answer those questions.

Sony's exlusives are much better then the Xbox's LBP, GoWIII, Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, Killzone 2, and Uncharted are just a few to name. With the exclusives of the PS3 you could easily have a decent sized (and varied) collection of games.

They are separate, consoles are dedicated gaming systems, it would be like have to put iPhone in every discussion abou handhelds, even though they are just phones that happen to play games
PC is a general purpose and a conletly different thing than the consoles group that is targeting a different market
I dont see why reality is not something we should consider in the forum

I am not acting like multipltforms are exclusives, i always define the context in which i write that anyway
PC a differnent thing than consoles, that is edfinatly true, they do sare games, but you buy a console to play games, and a PC to do a million more things, so the markets are different
But ok, what term could i use instead, to define a PC/360 game or PS3/PC, and not mean that it could be a PC/360/PS3/Wii one ?
Because mutiplatform is not defining any systems, it is 100% vague

it is definitely not true. it's the video game market. people do buy pcs for the primary purpose of playing games. it's not up to you to decide what people use their purchases for. once again, the pc counts just as much here as any console and it is to be treated in such a way.
the term multiplat is fine. there's no need for a special 360/pc or ps3/pc term. it's not like there's one for 360/ps3 multiplats.

Ok, fixed, i found a way to clarify what my thread was about and will juyst use the PC/360 instead of exlcuisve word from now on

that the pc counts just as much as any console? yes. it absolutely is a forum rule.

Sony's exlusives are much better then the Xbox's LBP, GoWIII, Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, Killzone 2, and Uncharted are just a few to name. With the exclusives of the PS3 you could easily have a decent sized (and varied) collection of games.

You mention games i would not buy myself, funny, i dont want such a collection
PS3 has Demon Soul, and that is over with the deep WRPG like games for the system for me
How about Fable 2-3, Mass Effect 1-2-3, Risen, Divinity 2 etc on xbox 360
That is the collection i need myself, since i like WRPGs best
Seems to me your more of an RPG guy. I usually play RPG' s on my PC so, I don' t count RPG's for consoles. Please Log In to post.
