you asked us a question that couldnt be answered with either "yes" or "no". Thats pretty shoddy english if you ask me.
Jealous are we that a 'gimmick' is owning up the other two consoles?HaziqonfireHow is wii owning the 360? By sales nope not yet, seems thats all sheep can use, games?, give me a break and no its not a shoddy question, its a basic question is the wiimote a gimmick yes or no?

GREAT SUCCESS!

I think that gets rid of what little credibility (Well there was actually none to begin with) that you had.

Agreed, its totally overated as it is and there's superior motion sensing technology out there.
It was only really made for the failing Japanese market to begin with anyway. Its not needed and often leads to worse control than a good, reliable dual-analogue controller that fits every type of game.

You see, when come into a thread and defend an argument like "I just want to put an end to all this naked." it lowers your credibility as well. If you want to hate on the Wii, that's fine but supporting people like this makes you look bad as well.

Dual analogue is only good for FPS. Since the Wii does FPS better than it, it's not needed anymore. Also, it's not like games HAVE to use motion controls, it has an analogue stick you know.

A dual analogue is at lot more reliable for most genre's. I bounce between Wiimote and Dual analogue all the time, the Wiimote is more accurate yes but its not needed. Whether I waggle the Nunchuck to reload or press a button it makes no difference. Same for the rest of the actions.

The Wii mote however is funner (You know, what video games are about) and just as good if not better than dual analogues.

Very few games actually make decent use of it and it would fail at intense games like God Of War. Its not suited to everything, if you actually had a Wii you'd know how badly some games play with it. ''But teh lazy developers'', doesn't make it suck any less and even the guys behind NMH admitted the controller held them back for some mechanics.
Funner? Yes I can have more fun playing mini-games but thats it. I laugh at your attempt to suggest the last 20 years of gaming haven't been ''fun''. You must have despised the Gamecube, how can you possibly make use of backwards compatibilty or the VC without motion controls? Being so much less ''fun'' and all. Oh now its only the righteous Wiimote that makes gaming worthwhile, hell no.
Its not needed and can often be a very poor substitute for a good reliable dual analogue controller, the fun is in the gameplay which Wii is barely even providing either.
You prefer motions, thats fine, don't understand why, don't care, but thats cool. This is just my side of the coin.

Who's crying? Probably anybody playing Lair but ANYWAY. The Wiimote isn't a gimmick. A gimmick is something that is not need but added to try and sell it on. If the Wii didn't have the motion controls.. then its just a 360/Ps3 with less power and more sexiness.

The Wiimote was only needed in the Japanese market not the west, they were falling out of love with traditional hardcore gaming. Not here, thats why very few gamers other than sheep actually like it a great deal this way. Thats why people call it a gimmick here, because nobody asked for it, DA is more reliable and just fine.
And yes your constant tears are quite sad, instead of trying to have a conversation. But your trying now so kudos.

The Wiimote was only needed in the Japanese market? And who cares if nobody asked for it? It's extremely successful in Europe and North America. Seems more like people had to be shown what they really want or it wouldn't be so successful if it were unwanted and unasked for. That applies more to the PS3.

rofl PC! Don't even mention the garbage accessories it has, because no one ever uses them and in no way shape or form have they defined gaming. PC=Keyboard and mouse only and occassionally a steering wheel or gamepad.
so we agree that they recycled an old gimmick then?shiram
No. Wii remote is great when it is put to good use.
For example. Wii Sports is pathetic, but Resident Evil Wii Eidition is awesome.
TC you sound like a fanboy you say the wii sucks yet you don't say why. it may not be this gens best system but its not like old systems which sucked not much power or anything like that. also if the systems just kept getting better graphics there wouldn't be nothing left.
graphics can not get better than things in life! also if you want to say its games suck you are a fanboy. Wii has good games for some and bad games for some. same with the 360 and PS3 (i like the 360 line up the most though)
