It could work with SSBB, since the Wii-mote could be used like a C-stick with buttons on it, it could allow you to perform neutral attacks, tilts, aerials, and smashes whenever you want. With the GC controller your fingers aren't always on the C-stick.

They will obviously have motion controll. But most moves require precision. In GC controller, the c stick is restricted by borders so precision is perfectly challenging. The Wii-mote will be almost impossible to implement well in fighting games. There's a reason they're making 4 different control schemes for SSBB and saying the GC one is the primary one. Because the GC one is the best scheme for it.
