[QUOTE="razgriz_101"][QUOTE="PurpleMan5000"] The world economy doesn't seem to be affecting Activision much. Small indie games seem to be making a resurgence as well, while companies that that place an emphasis on treating their customers like criminals (EA, THQ, Capcom) are all bankrupt or doing terribly. Maybe used games aren't the problem after all, and people are just tired of online pass and garbage day 1 dlc.Shielder7
At the same time acti have took less risks this gen, CoD is a massive cash cow and so is Skylanders, Acti Bliz alone relies off the IP's everyone clamours to outside those IP's what is really big at activision look at earlier this gen where they canned a LOT of games purely on the basis of profitability.
Activision are just more shrewd and taking less risks, EA's taking risks although those risks dont bode well with everyone but easily ignorable to most of us sane people.
What people need to remember Activision is essentially the EA that was last gen, this gen.
Um No EA being a complete dick to everyone is not taking a risk, well it is but not in the sense you're thinking. But by all means please list the risks EA has bravely ventured out and taken upon themselves. i dont think you understood what i meant by risks in the whole sense, online passes and microtransactions in games of their type can be seen as risks in a buisness sense. But they had Mirrors edge this gen, Skate was a perfect evolution of skateboarding games and insanely innovative mind you i doubt you'll have played skate the first one is the most unforgiving game ever much like the sport itself but highly rewarding.
