Don't care, I'll be buying BF4 and ME4 when they release, still need to buy Dead Space 3 as well when it gets cheaper.

Ballroompirate

Don't bother. It's crap. I got it for free and couldn't bring myself to finish it. And I  did  enjoy Dead Space 1 and 2. Quite a lot, actually.

I loved Dead Space 1, haven't played 2 yet, played the demo for 3 and thought it was pretty decent.

I'd definitely recommend 2. It was more of the same, but it's a great formula. My only major gripe with 2 is that it's just extremely short. Took me less than half the time it took me to finish DS1.

As for 3, I never played the demo, so I'm not sure what parts of the game it covers, but I felt like it started really weak, got much better in the middle, and then totally fell apart toward the end, bringing back the things that sucked about the beginning, and even more so. The gun crafting system was sweet though, and is the only reason I would consider re-installing it and pushing through to the end. I feel like the gun crafting would actually make a playthrough on new game + much more fun than the first time through.

[QUOTE="Shielder7"] Looking at the poll it's more like 53 people with another 29 on the side lines. With EAs losing money 32% is nothing to sneer at.PurpleMan5000

You look at poll's while the smart people look at sales, deal?

Deal. Keep in mind that the only reason Activision dropped on the chart was a split in their stocks. They are actually worth more than double their price at the beginning of the chart today. That is not the case for poor EA (-62.85%).

I'll keep in mind only what I feel like keeping in mind. So when doe BF4 and NHL 14 come out so I can go buy them immediately and support EA? I think I'll buy two copies of each just to cancel your boycott out AHAHAHA!

From buying up and shutting down developers, to forcing multiplayer in all their single player games, to on disc DLC, to online passes, to locking out single player content, to their war on used games, to their outright ignorant statements, to implementing micro-transaction in all their 60$ games, to adding DRM to the extent that it breaks games I can't be the only one fed up with this Bull **** company.

IMO EA is a shining example of everything that's what's wrong with the Games industry, so just to get a count who here has had enough?

Shielder7
Actualy people who make "hate threads" (admit it, you love hating sh!t) are whats wrong the industry, so when are the companies who are actualy doing something right going get your money ? I bet you've never made a thread praising a company have you ?

If you want EA to be on solid financial ground, you probably should buy 2 copies of all of their games. They are not in very good shape right now, as evidenced by their awful stock price and the firing of their CEO.

The only series I ever cared that they had something to do with is mirror's edge.

percuvius2

Which I have little doubt: "bonus" DLC:

Wall run: $5

Sprint: $5

Many others, for the bargain price of $49!!!  Hey, sounds like a deal compared to paying $1 per clip in FPSes.  I'm looking forward to hearing their next brainstorm.

I'm not looking forward to hearing yours.

You seem to be, as you respond to my posts. I know it is painful to hear and face the truth sometimes. Let me know how your AO, $1 a clip B4 experience goes. Perhaps you can finish the first level for under $100, yea? Unless you're using the .50 cal, I believe that's $3 a reload. Y'know, the sad thing isn't that EA is thinking of doing this....it's that you'd more than likely be willing to pay for it.

By all means...

I'm looking for alternatives series too all the EA published products I would likely buy in the future. It's sad too say goodbye to series I have enjoyed. However putting up with abysmal customer service and often poor support is unacceptable to me personally.

I don't see the point of boycotting anything.  As the saying goes, the gamer votes with their money.  Regardless of which company it is, pay for the games you want, and developers will know what to do or what not to do.  Even if its activision, I'll never buy another call of duty game, but I'll get most of blizzard's games.  For EA I'll never buy a sports game, but I'm looking forward to the next dragon age.

If it's exclusive to Origin, I don't buy it.

I have always made it a point to buy any EA game I am interested in second hand.
