Better multiplayer.100% preference, in my opinion it is vastly inferior to TF2 and CS and the like

More interesting characters. also based on preference, i find most of the characters boring in halo everyone is stale and does not evolve at all

More delicious soundtrack. to you maybe but that does not make it true for everyone, theres people out there that dont like the music in halo im sure

Better plot. are you sure youve played the games? the plot looks like they had no planning and just made it up as they go

Overall, greater campaign. halo 1 yes but halo 2 and 3 have terrible campaigns in comparison

I've played Halo 3 for about five minutes - three player split screen multiplayer. It was okay.

I've played Halo 1 for about five minutes. Co-op multiplayer. It was okay.

I got Halo3 day one and only started paying for live last year. Imo the best value of it is it´s campaign and split screen coop

No way dude.

I played the online for hundreds of hours with my friend. We dominated quite a bit. The multiplayer is the best part imo.

no i actually was decent for a noob. but ive played other shooters that have better multiplayer, halo is basically a bunch of idiots jumping around shooting eachother. no thanks. i prefer team based/tactical for shooters. i see no fun in just mindless shooting. but shooters are garbage now, they all just rehashed crap. i only enjoy good single player shooters now. killzone 2 was the last time i bought a shooter (graphics hype etc.) that game is just as bad as halo, maybe slightly better because there is some sort of team aspect in it. but still overall its garbage. shooters suck.

I played and finished the first one on PC, and it was nothing I hadn't seen before (Aliens? Check. Generic spacey modernweapons? Check. Generic story? Check. &c).
