Who is getting or at least interested in the new Pokemon game?

Personally, i'm thinking about it.. the other games were too much fun for me to totally ignore this one.

yes, and this is probably the last pokemon i'm getting. every pokemon after silver/ gold were way to.... weird i guess, imo (some of ruby's were ok)

If it were anything other than a Silver remake, I wouldn't even have to think twice. Ruby was the last Pokémon game I bought.

When it comes down in price, yes.

Going on a trip next summer for 10 days, and having a portable is a good idea for the plane ride etc.

I'm considering Heart Gold.

Although I played and loved Gold and Silver back in the day, I will not be picking up this title. Personally, I find that playing the Pokemon series is more of a chore than anything and it also gets very repetitive. Gold and Silver introduced was the first (and last) radical change in the Pokemon formula and ever since then, the ideas it introduced have become standard in Pokemon games and are no longer as amazing as they were the first time around.

As much as I would like to, I do not have the time, patience, or interest to get back into this series.

yea Ill get it, Im getting soulsilver and then Ill get the Gen 5 when its out next year or the year after. Im a huge pokemon addict :P

Anyone have any hypothesis as to why Nintendo couldn't do something like this on the Wii? A full 3d console remake of an 8 bit handheld classic would be awesome.Messiahbolical-

Sure most of the new pokemon designs suck....but Gen 3 introduced natures, abilities, and double battling. Gen 4 introduced the physical/special split for attacks and more importantly wifi.

Sure, I'll give you that...I still think the series is extremely dried out and it is extremely irritating to play it nowadays (even the old titles). Becoming a Pokemon Master doesn't sound anywhere near as interesting as it used to.

Nope, dont rly like them anymore. When I play them it still feels exactly the same as when I played red and blue, the feel of the game hasnt changed at all so it feels like playing the same game over and over.

Absolutely, although whether you are referring to HG and SS or the fifth gen games, I'm not sure. It doesn't matter either way.

Same for me. I love Pokemon, so I gotta have all the main installments for sure. I have Soul Silver pre-ordered and I'll eventually get Heart Gold down the line. Also anticipating the next generation of games to come out.
