[QUOTE="Chemical_Viking"]They're too popular with the mainstream to hold much street cred with the "edgy" kids around here. Even though games like RDR are comfortably amongst the best games this generation.
My choice would be Nintendo. Nothing they can do can be wrong in some people's eyes. Just because people grew up with them. Some of their franchises haven't progressed since the SNES days.cain006
Or *gasp* they actually don't like the games. I didn't like RDR, and thought GTA4 was ok. Or am I not entitled to that opinion? You're entitled to think anything you like, as long as you understand that it isn't prevalent and you're basically the odd man out.
GTA IV was one of my favorite games of all time and RDR was friggin awesome.
I also think the hatorade is laced with a fair amount of hyperbole.
You may think IV wasn't as good SA or III, but it wasn't "not fun", it was simply a different game and you liked the other one better.
I thought IV was incredible, but needed more "open world" features and jobs.
Also the "friend dates" stuff was goddamn annoying, and the parlor games (darts, bowling, golf, etc) were garbage.
The base game (the story) basically rocked and I spent hundreds of hours driving around Liberty City listening to the radio with a big goofy smile on my face.
