[QUOTE="mastercheifxbox"] Yawn.... Time to go back to playing Black Ops.jettpack

Skipping out on probably the best SP around to play one of the worst? Damn, I will never understand people.

why is he playing the black ops singleplayer, IT BASICALLY PLAYS ITSELF

There was that video on 1up of howsomeone got through the first level without firing a single shot. So no, it doesn't "basically" play itself, it LITERALLY plays itself.

Both the games are monument's to Nintendo's ingenuity when it comes to crucial game development skills like level designs, control mapping, and balanced difficulty levels. You may not like them much yourself, but to deny that they are good games marks you out as a troll. Note that this statement is not directed at anyone in particular, just me giving my two cents on the games and how people react towards them.

Tried both and got bored to death after half an hour. Among the worst and especially most boring games I ever played.

Went back to playing CoD (have over 300 hours in MW2 and Black Ops).

Stringerboy

I am 36 years old and enjoy Mario games and will continue to enjoy them. I am too old to engage in this "teh kiddies" nonsense that teenagers and young adults on this forum engage in.

hmmm....

good game but way way way to easy I think I beat it in around 2-3 hours on a full all star playthrough and frankly the story was a little lame and slow would have much rather seen a update of super mario bros with all the different castles going through the different lands to save the princess.

Isn't that like the speed run record for all 120 stars?

Am I the only person on Earth who was bored by Mario Galaxy 1 and 2? Don't get me wrong its not a bad game, but I failed to see how it was considered one of the best games of this gen.

No you are sure not the only one.

Im not a platformer guy at all (Rayman 2 The Great Escape on N64 was probably the only 3D platformer I finished except SMG), but SMG is friggin awesome and definitely a must play for anyone who wants to call himself a gamer!

SMG2 is a truly remarkable sequel. It is the game of the generation to me (MGS4 also holds that title for me sometimes). I view it as a redo as much as I view it as a sequel. It takes everything from Galaxy 1 and makes it better, adding a lot of great touches and removing that horrible Galaxy 1 story. Both games are great though

Me too. I am 37 and will continue to play all the great games that are out there to be played. It kinda goes back to the don't knock it til you try it idea. Miyamota has had a major impact in gaming for a reason. Now with the Wii2 going HD, I can't wait to see that little plumber in HD!!lol

I didn't actually get into the first. The sequel, on the other hand, is hands down one of the best games this gen.

If being a gamer requires me to play an overrated casual game that only appeals to people who have not played better games, and fans of the series then why would I want to be a gamer? If being a gamer means that I play a casual franchise that has not noticeably changed any gameplay, but then don't play games that also use a similar formula but at least changes some of the gameplay, why would I be a gamer? If liking a generic Casual game in a casual franchise means I am a gamer, then that means that I would also like game were skil is not required, you are rewarded for being bad at the game, and get Killstreak awards. why would I be a gamer? Because that's not what gamers are about. Just fanboys. -President Barrack Obama

There's 2 good things about you're situation. Mario doesn't fall into the category of games you are describing and you'd be casual whether or not you played those games with that attitude :D

Pretty much everything you just said about the galaxy games is 100% false
