Completely disagreed. I replayed it after ME2 and found it to be the vastly better game (in terms of my preference). ME2 might have had better graphics and more refined gameplay... but it dumbed-down WAY too much, and took out a lot of what I loved. Not to mention it added possibly the worst thing ever: planet scanning. I don't know how they can take out the Mako, a legitimate gameplay element, and replace it with a tedium that only accountants could deal with.

IDK about that.. Planet scanning was at least far less tedious then going around in the Mako.. Not to mention you didn't need to scan every planet to get enough resources.
Same. At least bring back Mako and reinstall the RPG elements you removed in the 2nd oneI'd still take it over the second.

a little late to preface it but i was playing on 360
dont know how the pc version looks in comparison to me2
[QUOTE="mitu123"]I agree when it comes to PC screens, they simply scale it down in various settings, no way seeing PC games at higher res would look the same as consoles.:P That and they probably don't know how to force AA. Complete boobs.[QUOTE="millerlight89"] This is why I think DF is a joke. millerlight89
I suppose it's because they want to compare the games on somewhat equal footing aka reavealing the differences of the games themselves. Yeah, that's rather...... Booby and makes for great console fan delusions but I think we all have to admit that ME2 was not a good port and we're making it look better through sheer power, tweaks and gfx control panels.
Bottom line: 720p ME2 vs 720p ME2 is almost the same which is one of the reasons why I simply can't agree with the blind love and loyalty people show to Bioware.

My screenshot was maxed out with no graphical tweaks/mods though.ME2 offended me lol.
I'm smarter than Bioware's target audience though. Screw ME2, if they want to put me back to gradeschool I'm dropping out and not buying their products anymore.
ME3 is banned until reviews mention something other than dumbing-down (which they all seemed to love, so apparently I'm more intelligent than 99% of reviewers as well)
ME2's presentation was better than ME1, but that is nullified by the simplification of the game.
[partially hyperbole, partially pissed at BW for dumbing down the excellent ME1]

Only somewhat? That's completely ignoring them. To be truly fair, they should max the game with AA/AF, full graphics + tweaks, and then downscale it to whatever res the console version is running at.

Point taken. I was just trying to seem not so rabid ;)
ME2 definitely looks better than ME1. ME1 still looks good though, and IMO is a vastly superior game.
Why play the PS3 version?
You will lose all your character data and choices you made from the first.

Uhhh no you can't. All of the choices made in the past are chosen for you if you start a new game.

The PS3 version will include some sort of prologue. So maybe you can after all.[QUOTE="JangoWuzHere"]
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"]
It really doesn't matter... you can set all the important ones to whatever you want at the beginning of ME2.GeneralShowzer

Oh, and some Galaxy News!!
Edit: I should state that I think ME2 was a great game. I'm starting to sound like a hater.

Yes. The thing with the transfered choices is a great small touch, but really overblown, and it doesn't make any difference in how things play out.The PS3 version will include some sort of prologue. So maybe you can after all.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]

you get to choose how the events played out in the first game. However it would've been funny if EA/bioware just gave ps3 owners a long flim with them making the choices for themPlease Log In to post.
