Who's The Worst Wannabe-Badass In Gaming?

How does Master Chief even come off ass a bad ass? You can't see what he looks like and he barely even talks. Sure he's done heroic and incredible things but nothing he's done can really be considered badass. And for all you haters that complain how he's a tin can with no personality. Again why are you voting for the MC?

I go with Dante or Leon. Both Capcom characters and its not a coincidence. Capcom tries overly hard to create badass characters and yet the one who pulls it off the best for them would have to be Albert Wesker a guy who does it with a touch of Finess ironically.

But about the poll I would say either Leon or Kratos, Dante is supposed to be cheesy right? So I can't vote for him if its intentional.

Kratos on the other hand his character seems designed just to be a badass, not that this is a bad thing just makes it feel like the devs force the bad-assness on him. Leon's dialogue is hilariously bad and his one liners make The Governator and Rambo cry. I voted for Leon.

I have to disagree, Kratos is just a bad person period. I don't feel his badass personality is forced, I mean this guy kills everybody and everything. He doesnt save or care about anyone now that his family is dead. He guts the innocent and gets life. You will be in situation where he could easily save someone but instead chooses to leave them to their fate and attack the enemie after they have handled their buisness. IMO he is a hair away from being a villian.

Leon is also a decent bad ass as well. People forget the reason Leon was so cool calm and collected in RE: 4 is because he panic and freaked out in RE: 2. He wasnt a rookie to a town full of mutant zombies or whatever. He had already survived a horror situation before and became stronger because of it.

MC has not business being on the list.... neither does Kratos or Marcus Fenix.... you need to choose Heroes that try to be cool, but come off lame.... Dante and Leon are good examples.

Have you actually beaten a GOW game? Just curious. You sound like someone who played it for only a few hours. Once you actually BEAT GOW, you don't feel like that at all. I know I did at first, too.

I voted for GeoW. I love the game, but the characters were dumb. Simply Beefy Football Idiots.

The game was great. The Characters were stupid. Their Dialogue was Stupid. It's was the most manufactured of the bunch up there, but there are far worse. I would rather pick a HORRIBLE Game with a Bad Character, instead of a Great Game like GeoW with dumb characters.

Whenever I see threads like this I know I can pretty come in here and see that x will vote for halo/mass effect hate and y will vote for PS game hate.

I think the thing is, Travis should not be on the list cause Suda purposly made him that way, he's suppose to be the "Anti-badass". He wanted so much to be one but the way he acts and say things and looks make him look like a total emo instead! I think Suda did that on purpose so Travis couldn't really be counted.

For those that " tried to be a badass but came off totally wrong", Dante gets my vote.

but I think that Capcom intentionally made him overly cheesy. Come on, have you seen the opening scene from DMC3. It's ridiculus.

I played the game about 70% the way through. It was a while ago though. I would have brought it but my PS2 is dying and I don't want to buy another one.

It was a great game I just happen to be cynical about characters in games.

Its not a Halo hating thread, even if MCs placement in there is odd - as its just as odd as other characters in the poll.

However every time anything Halo is in a poll people call it as a 'hate or like halo' one.

The only possible answer is Kratos, Kratos and Kratos. They tried so hard to make him a badass. But they failed miserably. Not even Dante is as pathetic as Kratos. Dante shoots out some of the cheesiest one-liners I have ever heard.

Let's face it Dante is a joke. But even he won't stoop as low as to beg for his life.

Wesker was somewhat cheesy in RE: CV. He was ok in RE4. He really shined in RE0, RE1(especially in RE1), and RE2.

There was no Wesker in RE2.
