wht doesn the 360 have a web browser

out of all the consoles shouldnt the 360 have this since online is the main focus. even the wii has a web browzer, it may be very slow but it was it. the 360 can easy get one and a very good one too one that works just as good on a regular pc. i know this isnt realy a big part of console gameing, or gameing at all just wodnering since the 360 is internet focused

It's usally called a web browser. And I'm guessing because people get on game consoles to play games, not surf the net.

It realized it was above imitating what a PC can do 5000 times better.

because i'm sure the average person has at least 3-4 things that can get on the internet....you don't need another one

i have 8 things that have internet browsers and guess how many i use.....ONE, my PC

these are GAMING machines

yea, i hate when people try to put that down as a negative for the 360 (not saying TC is, but i've seen some who have) when it doesn't need it

the only internet browser i've remotely even spent time with other than my PC is my Wii...but only because it was fun for about twenty minutes using the pointer...lol

Well first of all Microsoft tends to fail horrible with Web browser, look at Internet Explorer.:P

Though a web browser for Kinect would be a huge selling point, heck I would consider it the best potential use of Kinect.

Also, for you PC'ers, a console web browser is useful fr watching web videos on your TV (except for HULU, ***** you HULU execs)

It is also very handy when your PC is not working ( I had to use my PS3's web browser to de-virus my PC twice)

It actually kinda is. It's okay to work with if you feel lazy to go on your PC but at the end of the day, just use a friggin PC.

Also the reason why the 360 doesn't have a browser is clear as day. Microsoft limits the use of a user can have with the 360. The less options we have, the more money they can make. It's a great way to make money too because it WORKS. Giving 360 users Inet Explorer can also be a gateway for free things they can charge you for eventually one day.

Don't expect Inet Explorer to ever make it's way to the 360 because it's not an open platform like the PS3 or to the most greatest extent, the PC. Also it shouldn't be, it's a gaming console first & foremost. As much as it's nice to watch Youtube video's on TV, you can easily do it on your PC and that too for FREE seeing as if the feature ever comes to the 360 it will be exclusive to Gold membership.

That's an odd argument in itself. You suggest popularity of use = better quality? Logic fallacy I say. I'm pretty sure he meant the quality of Inet Explorer. That's like saying, the Wii is best because it has the most sales. It's very subjective really.

Also the fact that you pretty much GET Inet Explorer for free when you get a new PC pretty much makes that point rather moot since people get it from day one and use it regardless of it's quality and speed. Despite FireFox & Google Chrome being free, many still have to download & install them while Inet Explorer is there from day one.
